MESO Customs Dual Color Map and Dome Lights

I placed my order yesterday and got the notification of the shipping label made this morning. Hopefully these are the new ones.

 

Got a shipping notice email this morning. I was on the list to exchange v2 with the fixed version to retain last used color.

 

Did Meso tell you not to return the old ones? I was under the assumption that we were exchanging ours for the color memory version, not getting two for the price of one.

 

In my experience he does not usually require a send back for something like this

 

Just got my color memory map replacements. Easy install, and so far working great. Even "fade on" when you approach the door. Excellent!

Really contemplating this for the red now. It Has to be easier on the eyes than my current white LED replacements

 

Can confirm the new ones just ordered have the little resister module on the circuit board. Installed and they do remain red! Thanks Meso!

 

I just installed a dual color dome light that I bought direct from Meso, as well as a set of V2 dual color map lights that I bought used from a user on here. When I change the lights to red, then shut them off, the dome light remains red, while the map lights revert back to white. I knew this would be the case as the seller described them as so, so I'm not upset about that.

I've seen some older posts that there were a few different batches of these lights, and that in the latest batch the map lights will remain in red when shut off and switched back on. Seems like recent buyers are able to confirm this? If it's true I'll just buy a new set from Meso and sell the ones I have.

 

I can confirm they stay at the last color used. They do not default back to white! Installed mine yesterday! They are beautiful! Thanks @MESO !!

Yup! New purchase. Whatever light was last used will be the first light to come on after getting back into your truck.

 

With the latest ones, you do have to "double-click" to switch from red to white. But they will remain the same color as last set. At least with the ones I purchased last week.

That's totally fine. I'd rather that then them default to white. Even if they defaulted to red that wouldn't be the worst. But defaulting to white defeats the purpose of them for my use which is to not blow out my night vision when it's dark out.

 

I got my replacement map lights today from Meso what a stand up company man!!! How many companies do you know that send out replacements for free? Ill wait ? not many.

 

Map and dome lights came today and I gotta say I love it. As everyone has said the last couple days, new version maps retain memory.

 

Does the new version have that humming sound like the old version?

 

I had my non-memory maps warrantied with memory maps. The memory maps do not hum while dimming like the non-memory ones did and I’ve never had to double click anything on them

Does anyone know when the new (light memory) map lights will be back in stock? I bought the dual dome light but I’m itching to get rid of the factory maps and have the truck completely red inside. PS. I love the dome light!
