    Used to have a recurring freelance gig for a denim company in an industrial part of downtown LA where the meatpacking district was. Farmer John's had a slaughterhouse just up the street and to this day that is the most foul smell I've ever encountered. Would permeate the entire area.

    Idk why my googlefu works so well sometimes. The missus is frequently amazed when I can find an answer based off the most obscure portion of a memory.

    The Czech landlord used to just call me Google because of it lol

    According to the ol' shed thermometer, it was 100 an hour or two ago. A front rolled in and now it's 80 and very windy.

    I know a few people who lived or worked in what was Chicago's meat packing district as it was being redeveloped into the latest trendy restaurant district. They said that even a few years ago you'd have to dodge forklifts and dudes in rubber suits pressure-washing mystery fluids off the pavement every morning. Surprisingly, nobody's mentioned the smell to me...

    Also, if y'all had to read "The Jungle" in school... "Bubbly Creek" still smells bad from the stockyards and meatpacking operations that were there 100 years ago...

    "The creek derives its name from the gases bubbling out of the riverbed from the decomposition of blood and entrails dumped into the river in the early 20th century by the local meatpacking businesses surrounding the Union Stock Yards directly south of the creek's endpoint at Pershing Road."

    No no, I mean the wiring under the cabinets.

    It's like, I know how 'messy' it looks but no one will ever see it.

    @Wulf
    @Speedytech7

    I have 2 spare extensions.

    I used 4 out of the 6 lights in the kit, and used only 2 extensions (over the range).

    Each light covers roughly 2 feet as I ran 2 lights on each 5' section that flanks the range; total width including the range is 12 1/2 feet.

    At the electrical shop we had a rendering plant as one of our major customers. A rendering plant is where all the cut off reject portions from the slaughter house get sent.

    One of my favorite parts of training new drivers was going on a delivery to the rendering plant.. their reaction to the wall of smell you hit pulling thru the gate was priceless
