Usually when I wake up I'm pretty aware quickly, this evenings nap in the chair was the exception rather than the rule.

When I wake up at 2 ish, I'm fully awake. I could start my day ( and have).

I need to leave the bedroom and go to another part of the house or garage. 30-50 minutes later I start to feel the draw of the bed.

Usually I can sleep up to the alarm.( Most times I'm awake 10 minutes before the alarm).

Since I no longer work I really no longer sleep like I did when I was up at 0300 every day

Now it seems to be a series of naps as needed .

I am sure the constant pain might have some effect more so not being tired after those long days.

It seems my best sleep is from 0500 to 1100

I had one of the Stanley thermos icebox combos. They came out in the late 80s/early 90s. Great job site lunchbox.

I’ve also worked with the rope hammer before, but I can’t remember how. I seem to recall we used it for a pin driver, where one held it on the pin and the other hit it with a sledge. However, I could be confused and it was a deadblow purpose. That was a long time ago…

It is a cool looking place, probably not too abandoned however -- with the cost of waterfront property I don't think too many people forget about them for long.

I remember as a kid going down small roads by lakes. There were many "camps" back then: tiny cabins - shacks really, old train cabooses and trolley cars, ancient 6' wide mobile homes, etc. all sprinkled along these narrow dirt tracks through the woods.

A few years ago we went exploring and all that has been replaced with paved roads and mansions built almost on top of each other with acres of blacktop and 4 car garages, $80k+ vehicles crammed in every available space -- and No Trespassing signs everywhere. So much for cabins & camps.

My damn bedroom faces east! No matter how well I draw the shades, I'm getting up near Dawn! ( Wife's name is Michelle).

I’m guaranteed to wake up at least twice, usually around 1am then between 4am-5am. I start falling back asleep right before the alarm clock goes off.

She tolerates it, but don't really like it.

What can I say? I'm in high demand.

Made it home this evening, all good. Not sleeping well now. Earlier I happened upon this gem from my fellow Kentucky brethren Tyler Childers that I'll share. Not sure if this is anybodys cup of tea but it's getting harder and harder to find "real" country music...
