The easy part of ripping the nasty shit out is over. The hard part is getting a freshly done headliner in without ruining it or getting it dirty with my grubby hands.

I had an ex 5 speed years ago and had fun with it. Mainly just suspension and audio mods, cai, etc. Fun car even though it was pretty slow haha.

Found a rear seat bottom and passenger front seat from pick-n-pull today. All I need is decent front driver seat and im golden.

I've honestly never heard of anyone restoring a 1999 Accord. But, the results look great.

Plus the car will last you forever!!!

    Nicely done!

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear friend. My deepest condolences

    Thanks alot!
I cant afford to get another integra thats in decent shape for under 5k, so I figure I would just put a few grand in this thing and have a nice little DD.

My goal is to restore interior to stock as it would be in its highest trim in 1999. Clean as the day it was built. Im adding parts from later model accords that only came on the v6 ex-l trim.

He is and will be missed. Lesson is: always tell the people you care about that you love them and take absolutely no moments with them for granted.

Add some sound deadener while you've got the carpet and headliner out. It'll change everything especially in a daily driver.

Found these old pics from 2016...
I was 26 years old and didnt even know what I had.

76 f100, 390 big block, 4 speed, 4 wheel drive on 35s. Bought srupid cheap and sold for a good profit.

Being 26 with a truck like this in rural NC was a dream come true.

My 1953 john deere model 40.
    Cool story about this tractor...
A family friend owned it about 2 miles from my house and my father used to do a lot of work on their equipment. Dad passed in 2013 and the guy who owned this tractor came to our property/shop looking for my father after he had passed wanting some work done on a bobcat. He didnt know my father died and was shocked and emotional. We got to talking and he asked me if I could work on it. I had never even been close to a bobcat before. Went over to his place and replaced a leaking injector crush washer. All good.

Under an old lean to was this dilapitaded john deere, and I had been looking for an old tractor as my dad used to have an old alice that he had to sell the pay the bills. I wanted to be a redneck so bad. This john deere had been sitting for 10 years untouched.

He said sure hed sell it to me for 1500. So I went home and after a few weeks he called me back over as I had to fixx another fuel leak on the bobcat. When I was all done he handed me a packet of papers for the tractor and told me it was mine, FOR FREE.

The best part of this story is that my father was the last person to touch this tractor before it sat. (It was too weak to keep up with their farm).

He towed it to my shop and I tried to soak the cylinders with pb and atf as they were stuck solid. Ended up having to pull the head and beat the pistons with 2x4s to free up. And it actually worked and the tractor ran great for a few years until the rear hydraulics stopped working and I had no interest in tearing apart a 60 year old tractor that was too weak to even pull a box blade. Sold it when we moved in 2019.

Family had that same exact truck. 390, needed a rebuild, 4 spd, 4wd on 35’s. Truck was a royal blue. If I get around to it I’ll pull out the old laptop and post a pic of it and my buddies. Buddy of mine had your exact, exact truck even same color. Bought it for 500$ in st Marie’s back in 2010. Put a cattle guard in the back of it and used it as a firewood hauler. Funny story. It broke down fully loaded to the brim with wood. Towed it home out of some nasty trails with my 74 international 200. 392, 4spd, 4wd fully loaded to the brim. That’s a hell of a picture.

Ask him if he had my problem with the truck: I couldnt take it anywhere without the ole, "my dad had this same truck" and "if you ever want to sell it let me know"

Some of my old rides. The s2000 I owned from 19 to 24 years old. Sold it to make down payment on my first house. Red CL with accord front end, manual trans, black leather interior, very mint car on some now rare tenzo wheels. Black integra was my highschool car that I painted for my senoir project. The rad rod was a 51 ford sedan with a 5.0ho with a t5 that never got finished. Did frame off and restored all suspension but left body as it was in 1951.

Ive also owned 2 ford rangers, 76 f100 in an earlier post, 86 maxima, 04 rsx, another black integra, and my first car was a 1970 ford maverick.

Im 32 and keep forgetting all the nice things ive had through the years, including that 10 acres and 40x80 shop that I sold about 4 years ago to move closer to civilization for my wife and child. Its all just stuff but damn I wish I had those cars now.

Last pic is my daily accord, hope to boost and wrap next year....and of course my tacoma as she sits today.

    Sweet. Following along.
I was a Honda Guy many many years back in college, had a few civics, in a local car club. Then was into Lexus LS series cars for a bit. Followed by a couple misc cars before jumping into my Tacoma.
