Hey Connecticut, our everything hurts

I'd hit that jump hard..on my bicycle, but....

 

Went to Toyota to buy the (hopefully) correct part this time. While there I checked on the price for the "repair wires" I need for the mirrors. $25 a piece. No thank you!
I'll have to see what I could find online.
Afterwards I went to look at the Acura. It cranks slow and starts but at times it will crank slow and not start. To make sure the battery wasn't the issue I took the battery out of my truck, hooked it up and the car did the same thing. I'm thinking a bad ground. I ordered two small cables (engine to body) and I'll have to make a negative battery cable because it will take two weeks for an OEM cable. Headed to O'Reilly tomorrow.

The car has the NEG cable from the battery to the inner fender, then two short cables from each side of the engine to the inner fenders. Why they don't have a thick NEG cable going from the battery to the engine block is beyond me.

My bed net was supposed to be delivered yesterday, that got changed to today and now it was changed again to Monday. I changed it to hold at location and hopefully I can pick it up Monday at the local FedEx office. If not, I'm cancelling the order and ordering it straight from Toyota.

 

Checked online for the terminals and I found the female half on the site where I normally buy from. The male part is a little more tricky.
I'm going to have a look through the connectors I cut from the old dash harness and see if there is something I may be able to use.

I found the terminals I need for the mirror side of the connector (female). I need four, I have three, of course. I ordered some. Now to find the male half.

Ordered the terminals I need for the power/heated mirrors. Hope to have them this week so I can wire them up next weekend.
Going to the parts store later and see what I could come up with for a negative battery cable.

Good morning CT. Back to work.

I contacted the seller of the bed net that was supposed to be delivered last Thursday at 8PM . Everyday at a couple minutes before 8PM the delivery date changes to the next day at 8PM.
The seller is Frontier Toyota. I'll will never buy something from Amazon that is listed by a dealer, instead I'll go to my local dealer. I get a discount there.

Bought most of what I need for the Acura. One battery cable is being delivered tomorrow. I found a short section of 4GA. wire on Amazon with ends already crimped on. I think the factory cables are 8GA.

I bought three cables, a new battery terminal and 6x1.0 bolts. Once those are installed it may need the positive cable too, everything is green but the positive cable doesn't look that bad. I would have to remove the intake manifold to replace the positive cable because I can't get my hand near the starter to loosen the bolt.

 

I just took the trash out.

So far so good.

I'm just about as good as new. Just a very slight cough still once in a while, but all good.

The Mrs is still a bit "stuffy", but nothing major.

The oldest is still a little stuffy, but he never really had any "symptoms" that were major so he's OK.

And somehow the youngest still hasn't caught it as far as we know.

Better but still feeling kinda crappy. Cough, stuffed up and major headache. Meds don't seem to be helping much. Great day though weather wise. Still working from home for another day before I'm allowed back in the office so working from my lake house in Winsted today.
