Signed it too thanks for sharing I doubt it will make them turn down the money but worth the effort for sure.
Speaking of wmas anyone hunt out at paulding forest before? Thinking about taking my toddler out there during bow season this year since it’s closer than trekking down to my hunting camp.

Does anybody know the extent of the work going on at Helton Creek? The road has been blocked for a few weeks. I wonder if it's the road (creek crossings), trails, or observation deck that is seeing repairs. last time I passed through there (April), it looked like they'd done some improvements to the two creek crossings.

Never hunted there, most wma's aren't too bad in bow season but covered up in gun season

FS79 that runs off of Chimney Mountain Road is permanently closed and has been removed from all maps online unless they are backdated. Only way to access the camp sites back there are on foot or coming down the no longer maintained road up Tray. I am surprised Dicks creek is closed as both that and Coleman River Rd I was up in the past three weeks.

Dicks Creek was gated shut from 76 and had road closed signs coming in from the other side.

Coleman river closed due to a major washout.

FSR79 was gated shut at tray gap.

FS79 will never be reopened from my understanding. As I mentioned, it has been removed from online maps.
You think there was a washout on up Dicks creek as well?

I went to mount currahee and every trail had a gate on them. But then out in the war woman nature preserve and Sarah's creek area some of the gates were open. It seems all the spots with good off roading get closed everywhere though.

And I am actually perfectly fine with them shutting down areas. Shutting down Tellico was huge. If you fish and understanding silt and sediment movement this makes more sense as those two by products of offroading have been proven to directly negatively affect streams. Offroading is fun though but yes overall there are less areas to go to now.
Could you get up to the top of Currahee at least? I wonder if the NPS or DNR were doing work in Warwoman or Sarah's creek.

Best off-roading is in TN anyhow. GA is good for 2WD and camping and thats about it

Yeah you can go to the top still. And yes actually the DNR was out there. It was on July 5th. I had the day off and yeah I saw multiple dnr folks. What was nice I only say one gladiator all day. So I had the woods mostly to myself. I found my next camp spot for sure. I agree that off roading does ruin other outdoor activities and being able to eat is more important than being able to wheel.

Haha. And I was meaning it was the only other vehicle I saw on the trails other than the DNR work trucks. But yeah I don't trust any jeep products. I've seen to many with to many problems.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Who Needs Tires?! I want these gone!

2021 Honda Civic Sport Rims and Tires
    Price: $400
Location: Atlanta (near the Atlanta Zoo)

Less than 1000 miles on them. 2 of the rims have a scratch on them from hitting the curb pulling out from a stop. These are in great shape and fro the money, your getting either the rims or the tires for free, however you look at it.

I can touch them up with black touch up paint before they roll out.

I went up to Clayton again today and went to warwoman dell and Sarah's creek again. We did some hiking and playing in the water. Did a little four wheeling. There is still one good decent technical trail there that's open. But as I was leaving Clayton I passed multiple Tacomas going into town. Including one in that spruce mica color. I love that color. I was driving so I couldn't take pics but I would say I spotted at least ten different trucks. Some of all three gens.

I had a 1985 2 door XJ with a 5spd and the 4.0L engine. Things was awesome! Last decent Jeeps had that straight six. I would still take my Tacoma over it though any day.
