    New poll!

I prefer name brand tools. I once had a cheap wrench and the open end broke and hit me in the forehead. I said no more cheapos for me, depending on what it is :spy:

Depends on what it is. My toolbox is alot of Harbor Freight and Craftsman (pre 2004ish). At work most of my stuff is Proto, Knipex, Klein, etc. but I'm not footing the bill on those

My favorite air impact is the Harbor Freight Earthquake 1/2" stubby. Gets into alot of places a full size impact won't, especially changing the lawn mower blades. I do have a Snap-On as backup. Came in handy yesterday on a stuck caliper bolt...

Only paid $33 bucks for it a little over a year ago. $100 bought me the impact, a Blue Point air hammer, and Snap-On air grinder...

I've got a lot of Craftsman tools from the 1990's when I started buying tools. Got some off brand stuff too from Northern Tool. Got several MAC tools like an impact wrench I bought back in the late 90's early 2000's when I got fed up with my cheap one. The MAC man that lives near me, we trade welding for tools. I've got some ratchets, screwdrivers, etc. from him through the years.

When it comes to my machinist tools, I've learned buy once cry once.

The wrench that broke and hit me in the forehead was from Northern, I was sitting on the ground tightening a 1/2" bolt on the grill guard on a 1992 Toyota pickup I had, when it broke and smacked me in the forehead I almost fell over backwards

    First vote!

I have a mishmosh of good stuff, cheap stuff, old and new(er).

Sure, I prefer name brand tools and will spring for them when it makes sense like Makita cordless stuff.

On the other hand Harbor Freight/TSC/Lowe's stuff is fine for the occasional use stuff, reluctant to admit but the quality of the HF stuff has climbed steadily over the years.

My favorite shopping avenue is yard sales/flea markets, you never know just what you will find and for how little cash, it does not lead to a one brand organized toolbox however.
