    Agree.

HF used to be mail order only crap that was "equal to" the crap sold by the rolling tool sales that set up at the fire station every year.
They have moved steadily up market into the area previously held by Craftsman -- a tool for the everyman.

    A week in a factory:

Monday: Workers late, absent, hung over, broke, grumpy

Tuesday: Workers ticked off about the @$$ peeling they got for yesterdays poor production, mostly sober at least

Wednesday: Workers mostly on time and in a fairly good mood - Payday tomorrow

Thursday: AM: Attendance good, workers happy -- checks at lunch --- PM: Some late, focus lost, some drank lunch

Friday: Workers late, absent (payday flu), hung over, grumpy "don't get paid enough"

Saturday: Workers bickering having to work Sat. because "those guys don't pick it up during the week"...

Sunday: Maintenance is here all alone -- silence. :)

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Having bent a cheap wrench attempting to back off a camed over trailer brake.

I go with Name Brand Tools then some name brand tools people never hear of.I have never received anything but great quality buying from McMaster-Carr

Quite different when you earn your living . I had some great tool dealers over the years.

I have always been bothered by the fine print on Craftsman tools ( Not warrantied for commercial use)

I also built racks for my Tool truck dealers and traded .

I still try to buy off my local tool guys. The usual standbys. We have an agreement. Don’t approach me with anything useless or outrageous priced. I pay cash & I’m not interested in financing.

I've only ever been on one tool truck, the MAC man who lives near me. He's never tried to talk me into something I didn't need and always been fair to me when we trade work for tools.

Exactly why the Man’s still in business. One of my guys is now goin’ on the third generation. Established client base & runs a good honest business. Gettin’ pretty scarce lately.

Maybe things are different up there the only time I made out paying cash was on tools that were traded in having some wiggle room.

New Tools the price was the same cash or credit so why screw up my cash flow.

Since I worked out of Town I mailed Checks when on the road.
When I was home I went to their house to visit and catch up on the local gossip and drink Coffee.

I really can`t fault Tool dealers making Money any more even years ago the start up cost was $250,000.00 inventory and a brand new Lift gate Truck.

When my dealers retired I pretty much quit buying tools.

Pretty sure I’ve bought more repo’d & good quality used than I have bought new. They all wear out the same.

Does it involve a fox and a forest fire?

Try the 9 volt also, just to make sure it still has a charge.

Cole bought him a shovel at the beach and the first time he used it the handle broke. I told him don’t worry about it, I know a guy. Ground the spool gun welds off so yawl don’t have to get yours eyes checked.

Went to use the lathe and noticed a couple new dial indicators on the old mighty mags.
