Bad bearing or possibly a clogged breather but that usually leaks out the axle seals.

Yeah at this point my bet is on a bad bearing. I tore apart my spare diff today, about to order an install kit and get it swapped over to 4.56 and a truetrac.

Thankfully, just this week actually, I am able to bring a company truck home so I can let the tacoma sit.

Changed the supercharger oil… it’s seen better days.

I only pulled maybe 4oz out of it. The snout is leaking fiercely.

Oh it's pungent, that's for sure. Are you due for a rebuild yet?

I use the speaker harness that Crutchfield supplied for them. It’s the white and black wire shown with the new plug. I didn’t use the plastic mounts they send, I used the factory front mounts and just cut a slot for the wire.

Yeah it's getting to be that time. The nosecone is slowly seeping oil out, it's got at least 80k miles on it but likely more. Not exactly sure when the PO had it installed.

I really really like mine, but it’s honestly doing more harm than good haha. It’s more of a novelty at this point. It’s not helping that sleep 3RZ auto very much.

But it’s ok, I can take comfort in knowing I don’t have holes in my roof.

anyone have recommendations on a decent single din radio? Mine decided to crap out and i'm looking for a new one. I'm steering clear of Pioneers as this one is only two years old and it's already a warranty replacement for one that only lasted a few months. Thinking Kenwood or Alpine maybe? Requirements are a CD player and bluetooth audio but that's about it.

Got my starter repair kit and replaced the contacts and plunger. Taco fired right up after putting it all back together (and remembering to reconnect the negative terminal!) Continuously amazed at how easy and fun these trucks are to work on and repair, if I rolled into a shop they would have swapped out my Denso starter for some shitty aftermarket POS, charged me hundreds of dollars, and probably try to convince me to replace several other parts.

What's the go-to these days for deleting the 2nd cat and keeping the O2 sensor happy? Is a simulator still a thing? Looks like URD isn't selling them.

Spark plug anti-fouler works too if you get a generic thread in style downstream O2

My downstream cat was already gone and the O2 sensor is just hanging out. No codes. IDK what the magic is.

Can be luck based, not everyones cats are in the same shape after years of abuse. I don't have a downstream sensor at all or a computer that cares about the cat
