Today is supposed to be another one of the hottest days of the year, the hottest was on Friday. So we are both staying in the AC content not to move much. I gladly stay trapped :D
I am definitely missing the mountain air that much more about this time of the year.

It has even been hot in the mountains too.

Yesterday I picked up my Mom from the airport and dropped her off in her city(SW or Colorado Springs) It was 101*. I had flip flops on and the asphalt was still smoking my piggy toes. Too damn hot. I had my oldest daughter with me and she said “Dad…let’s get home quickly to cool off!”

Dang that is a little toasty for the mountains!! Your daughter knows what’s up haha.

I remember when I lived in a small Nm town up in the mountains and the hottest it would get in the summer was MAYBE (and not for very long and kind of rare where I was at almost 9,000 elevation) 85-90 degrees? And the locals would complain about how hot it was and I being a native Texan and a newbie to mountain life thought they were so crazy and that they don’t even know what hot is . Most buildings didn’t even have ac because it wasn’t needed in the summer. It was amazing.

Hmmm, judging by the look on Thor's face, I'm not sure if he approves of feeding the other two:D

To add a little good news to the thread, Henry just had his follow-up visit after his recent hospital stay, and he's doing great. His BUN and creatinine levels are continuing to fall on their own, and he's just a little over where his normal values were before this crisis. The vets are thrilled, and so are we. The only issues remaining from this event are that he's still down 0.5-1.0 pounds, and he's missing lots of fur from the shaving that they had to give him. We're feeding him whenever he wants to eat, but he's always been a skinny boy. That's good for heart failure cases, but not so good for renal problems. We'll get him back to his fighting weigh soon enough. As for the fur, it's hot-humidity season in Ohio, so he seems fine with it.

We're so glad to have our buddy back, and it looks like no permanent damage was done. We're back to "normal" meds for his ticker, and putting as much love on him as possible.
