The following is from the dealer principal (owner) of the Toyota dealership that worked on my truck:

"I unfortunately don’t have ideal news. Basically from what I understand is that Toyota will not warrant anything since it is an aftermarket part that doesn’t match Toyota’s specs - the spring is too long and it forms an offset where it meets the cap and that’s the reason for the damage, which I think you’re aware of. From photos i have seen and speaking with our service team, it is very clear to me that this is the issue. I re-read your email thread with Eibach, and I know they are claiming it meets factory spec but that is not what I am being told. I am told that other springs will fit, such as Ironman, which we could do for you at our cost and powder coat to match the red TRD color. We have never had any issue with Ironman springs that I am aware of and we have done many, many lifts with them. I hope Eibach will reimburse you for at least the cost of their springs, if not for the labor, too, which I think they should do. And we will install Ironman at our cost. I am sorry for the situation, but this is why we have a policy of not installing non-Toyota parts brought to us by a customer. We made an exception in this case because of Eibach’s relationship with Toyota and because we wanted to help you, our customer. Our master technician spent many hours working on this for no compensation, so I also feel bad for him, but that is my issue to deal with. The bottom line is that this is 100% Eibach’s responsibility to make right with you. It is my understanding that Eibach is a good company with a solid reputation so hopefully they will do the right thing."

Anyone who works at a dealer knows this part is BS. The tech made flat rate or was paid internal time.

But you should really look into my post, it should solve your issues and be much cheaper than buying a new suspension.

I did see that and think it's a fantastic idea. However, I'm not sure I'd save much money (including time being money) buying a 3D printer, learning how to make this on a 3D printer, then learning how to install suspension.

Who said anything about a 3d printer? these things are already made and I linked to them in the post. You just need to measure the inner and outer diameter and order the correct size.

Sorry. Admittedly, I skimmed the post and prematurely made my own conclusion.

For sure. I just need to find a buddy to help me install them if the correct ones exist.

I received an email back from Eibach yesterday. They claimed to be reaching out to 20+ owners who Eibach installed the springs for to determine if there was any noise from the suspension. They also stated they are looking for a stock truck to install these springs on to determine if the noise can be replicated.

Thank you for the update. I hope they appreciate rather than overlook the fact that these issues occur after time has passed. Unfortunately, all too often people tend to look for or ignore things based on biases.

I would install that bumpstop spacer right away, it's there for a reason. That spring likely has less travel before blocking (binding). Therefore if you slam into a rut or something hard enough, your whole suspension assembly will be come solid and transfer that energy through the shock instead of the chassis (by way of the bump stop). This is how those guys with spacer lifts break their shocks in half.

    Gents,

This scenario is not something we experienced during prototyping with our test vehicles, so up until we received the call, it's the first we have heard of it.

@RTweet, thank you for reaching out and being patient as we work through this with you. Were you local, we would have already brought you in to check it out.

We have been working with every type of bushing and suspension component you could imagine for 35 years, there are many instances where bushings can be incorrectly clocked, torqued, greased etc., so that is the first place we start and why it's the first suggestion from Tech support, our apologies if it came off dismissive.

We have reached out to our development vehicles to bring them back in for review and will report back. Like Dave mentioned, if there are any locals experiencing the issue currently, please contact us so we can get you in.

I installed the Eibach springs on my 2020 Pro shocks. Pics of my Lopsided top hats and concern was voiced earlier in this thread. I am getting noticeable squeaking when going slow in reverse backing out of my driveway, and also notice it when moving slowly over small obstacles.

Have you looked into something like this to send to customers? Should fix the issue of noise, and make the hats sit flat.

YES - An appropriate sized version of this isolator would be great!

Unfortunately though it would increase the lift height slightly (which some including myself do not want), and of course doesn’t cover the cost/time of disassembly/reassembly.

From my own observations, the issue is due to toyota using the same hat for both models. This results in a "hot spot" where the spring puts a ton of pressure on the hat. This is whats causing the noise to show up, the increased load of the spring is just enough to make the noise over the stock springs. Building the spacer like this, but one that integrates the stock rubber isolator would net a very small increase in lift (maybe 1/4 inch) and force the spring hat to sit flat and apply equal pressure on the whole hat.

This is essentially what the Toyota mechanic said. The added length/pressure to that so-called "hot spot" prematurely wears the hats.

me explaining to our CEO and COO that we should send those isolators out without even knowing if it works.
