Seriously though, thank you to those who have been participating in this discussion. I can assure you guys it is important to us to figure out what is going on and help find a solution.

I was wondering if Eibach can go the "just chop the top off" route or Toytec way and use the 16-19 springs with a flat bottom perch.

I believe option one is easier. I just imagined a bunch of staff with a bunch of springs all lined up at the grinder.

 

Yah, not sure if you saw my earlier post, but the Toyota mechanic joked that he'd let me come in with an angle grinder, he just couldn't do it.

 

I'm guessing the "chop the top" route will lose some lift compared to what is advertised.

Hopefully someone tries out that "isolator" that @5nahalf mentioned earlier to see if it works for the 2020+ Fox and flattens out the top.

 

I just submitted my concern on their website. I've only driven the truck a couple hundred miles since install and the squeak is getting significantly more pronounced. I don't like my new truck sounding like a shitty old Dodge Ram.

 

Yep thats a hot spot rubbing sound due to too much pressure on a single point on the spring isolator pad.

I dont know which would be the right one unfortunately, someone needs to remove their stock isolator and measure the inside and outside diameters to find the correct size.

 

So I just shoved my hand in there and to see if I could feel where the sound is coming from. Totally feels like the top bushing but also that top bushing is not centered in the top hat. The right one is centered and is not making noise.

So, I pulled the top nut, washer and spacer off, and just cleaned everything. The squeak stopped. I suspect mine is coming from the shaft moving through the top hat, so I globbed it up with white lithium. Silent now. I'll report back.

Yup, that’s exactly the sound.

 

Thought I would chime in as well since I've been running these for ~6 months now on my 2021. Also getting the driver's side squeak. Other than that they have been great but a bit concerning seeing the premature tophat wear someone posted a few pages back.

 

That was my 2nd set in a month, by the way.

 

It certainly sounds like rubber is involved in making that sound. It looks like the top of the spring has the end of the spring wire closed against the previous spring wind, flattening it out quite a bit. While there is likely more pressure on one arc of the circle, it's likely a pretty big arc and not likely to change much, if at all -- the coil is braced against itself. This is a common design. I do think trying the isolators is a good thought, but I hesitate to jump to conclusions based on what may seem to look funny but is a common design. The isolators are cheap, but a lot of work to swap out and still have the squeak.

Hoping that R4D4G4ST is on to something. But it definitely sounds like either the isolator or rubber bushing is the culprit based on the rubbery sound.

 

In preparation for review we have modified a pair to test. We're still trying to find a local for install, so please point them our way.

We understand this is a high priority and working toward getting some answers or solutions asap.
