Found a local fab guy to do some sliders for me. He can weld or bolt on. 700 to weld 800 to bolt. Thoughts on either? I don't know about the weld if they were to bend and block doors from opening? They also would be more stable and not easy to step or become loose. Any input is appreciated.

sloders? holt on? welt? You need to get your auto correct fixed.

But on to your actual question, get the bolt on ones. Its just easier to remove them, and you dont have to worry about the welds rusting or burnt wires from the welding.

I opted for RCI Bolt on steel sliders and they held up great on the Gold Mt. trail in Big Bear, which really taxed my rig. Ended up With multiple gouges and scratches in my steel skids including denting in the oil filter access door to the point where I had to replace it. I think the bolt ons are plenty strong enough

If you don’t have a welder and/or don’t know how to weld, get the bolt ons.

    Welt on sloders!

Not aure what part of the US you could be from and have that accent.

I prefer bolt on, easier to remove, if ever needed.

This was my thought process as well. I hadn't even considered the weld option because I was only looking at ordering online. I think I'll go with the bolt on for 8.

Haha I was typing in a hurry between driving places. Sorry everyone for the terrible Grammer :rofl:I'll work on fixing my autocorrect. But to answer your question half life in Texas half life in Florida so it could very well be the accent

I hear some say the bolt on will hold debris and salt between the plate and frame. I don't know anything about that but I'm curious if anyone has an answer to that.

When installing the sliders, you hose the area down with fluid film, then tighten the bolts down. This will trap a thin layer of fluid film between the metal surfaces. Adding more fluid film to all the seams will further help.

I fuck up all the time. It was funny. We all knew what you meant. Go for the bolt on over the wolt on.
