This might be a stupid question, but for those who have done the Howe pump upgrade, where are you “grousing the factory wire? The factory eyelet isn’t large enough for the new bolts and I don’t see an easy alternative.

Yeah I think that was probably 18 or 20 gauge. Stock is probably 22g. I used 16g on my firewall, but that stuff is pretty tough to work with and not really necessary I don't think.

I just left both wires (ground and sensor wire) disconnected and zip tied them out of the way.

I thought the consensus was that the idle jumps up a little with the wire grounded?

So, this is a stupid question, but I'm asking anyway.

Are the "Rear Shock Mounts" listed on the website for the SUA kit potentially compatible with a coilover for a link kit instead? Obviously coilovers are a much larger diameter, but I am curious if I can start parting things together/pricing out what I'd like to do.

My understanding is when the sensor wire is grounded the idle jumps. The unknown is if you'll eventually throw a code for leaving it grounded all of the time. @RonRon23 was going to test that but I'm not sure if he did.

I could have read those posts wrong. The switch is obviously not going anywhere. I thought the switch was just a pressure sensor but the ground helped the idle 100 RPM or so

regardless, this was my solution for a ground. I had some spare hardware from the inner fenders kit. Used one of the long .25” bolts and lock nut. I ground the nut down on 3 sides to fit it in the tab.

This is how I understand it. The ground that's bolted to the back of the pump is grounded all the time. When the pressure switch hits a certain pressure, it closes the switch and grounds out, thus jumping idle. So regrounding the ground doesn't actually do anything, grounding the pressure switch does.

*this is all my interpretation and I could be mistaken*

edit: I'm going to go out to my truck right now to test this.

    edit2: no I'm not, it's hot outside.

how did you run the ground?

or better worded, how did you run the pressure switch wire?

You ever write a word enough times that it starts to not look like a word anymore? That's me and ground right now.

I forgot to ground it on my last drive. It jumps rpm but as @906taco mentioned, unknown if constantly grounded, will throw a code for that switch?

And you mean ground the sensor wire, correct?
