    I got to Tamarack lake per Matt's gps coordinate. Definitely future spot for camping. On to Lost Lake...

    As I waited for @El Taco Diablo at Lost Lake
    I ran into some peeps while I did my recon around Lost lake. LT rigs on there side of the lake, some fly-fishing and some urban family paddle boarding. My portable ham radio crapped out that night and the one in my truck I had to return before the trip coz it had missing parts that connect to the cig lighter!

    so that night, these hikers coming along the Pacific Crest trail camped near me. Wasn't expecting serious hikers coming out of nowhere! And I thought Matt was crazy doing all this Norcal wheeling trip, but these peeps were NUTS! They were hiking from Mexico to Canada along the trail leading up to John Muir trail to Canada! Serious gears I noticed probably cost as much our rigs! One from Italy (Pepe) and another came later (Tatiana) from Sweden. Got to shoot the breeze and they were cool, an interesting but crazy serious hobby to get into. But I'm sure they were thinking the same when they were asking me 20 questions. You just never know who you gonna run into out there. Lol

    Then 10 min later Matt shows up lighting up the trail with his blazing LEDs looking like a UFO!! Lol. Flagged him down with my flashlight but he probably saw me with those f'king lights.
    Lost my portable ham radio along the way. somewhere in the campsite. Nice time to upgrade since it's Prime day!! Lol

    Sounds like a fantastic weekend!

    Nice, the last time I was in that spot I went for a day hike and ran into a whole crowd of thru hikers.

    There's something to be said for long distance self propelled travell. You fall into a rythm and all your needs are what's next to eat, where is the water and where am I going to sleep tonight? It's not a bad routine.
