Thanks for looking at my 95.5 Tacoma!

This little truck runs fantastic and is super reliable. It will easily do 80 on the freeway and get 22 mpg. The truck is from Arizona and has no rust (has been in Utah since June 2020). It is a fun reliable little ride that will go anywhere you point it. The truck has an impressive list of modifications and upgrades that make it unstoppable, both on and off road.

I purchased this truck a couple of summers ago in Arizona with a blown head gasket. It started out as a fun little project for me that soon became my favorite daily driver. I have rebuilt or replaced almost everything in order to make this truck as reliable as possible.

These little trucks are getting harder and harder to find in good shape with reasonable miles. This one may have some cosmetic issues, but it really shines where it matters! I would love to keep it, but I need a tow rig, and that is one of the few things this little guy just won’t do. I have already put in the hard work for you to enjoy for a long time to come!

    I am asking $9500.

Of course, I like cash, come see it in person before you make an offer, no trades, text is best, what code?, etc.

Thanks for looking, and please read the full ad!

    The good;

(Most of the work was performed at 164,000 miles at the same time as the engine rebuild, unless otherwise noted.)

    - Engine rebuilt at 164,000 miles, Rebuild Included

o LCEngineering Street pistons, 0.50 mm overbore

    o All OEM gaskets

    o OEM water pump

    o OEM oil pump

o OEM supplier Main and Rod bearings, std size

o New OEM timing chain and guides

o Fuel injectors cleaned and balanced by Five-0 Motorsports

o K&N intake tube, AEM dry filter, stock airbox

    o LCE long tube header

o LCE Hi-Flow Catalytic converter, and new exhaust all the way back

o LCE fuel pressure gauge in engine bay

    o LCE balance shaft delete

o All new hoses and vacuum lines

o All machine work performed by Pro Machine in Murray

    - New Aisin clutch

    - LCE short shifter for transmission, included new shifter bushings.

    - New aluminum radiator

    - New heater core

    - New starting motor

    - New alternator

    - “Big-3” upgrade, upgraded battery cables, main ground and alternator charging cable.

    - Re-geared to 4.30 front and rear

    - Rear e-locker axle installed

o Custom switch harness from “12-Volt guy.com” (allows for locker use in 2-Hi, 4-Hi, and 4-Lo)

o Axle completely rebuilt with brand new Toyota bearings and seals

o Rear-end rebuilt at 181,000 miles due to a bad pinion bearing. All new Yukon rebuild kit, with solid spacer.

    o Marlin Diff armor

    - Energy Suspension body mounts

    - Removed and cleaned entire interior and added a spray in sound deadening liner (like bedliner) to entire cab except roof area

    - New speedometer cable

    - 4Runner SR5 bucket seats, and year correct OEM Tacoma center console, to replace worn bench seat (custom seat rails, using factory holes only)

    - JVC stereo with Bluetooth, and nice door speakers.

    - Vision-X ultra-clear H4 headlights, and custom wiring harness. (Removed old style sealed beam headlights and allows use of modern/ higher wattage H4 bulbs, fantastic improvement in night driving!)

    - Front turn signals relocated to grille filler panels, also added an LED flasher so they function correctly

    - Old Man Emu Dakar rear leaf springs, approx. 3-inch lift height, greaseable bolts and upgraded shackles

    - Skyjacker M95 mono-tube rear shocks

    - Bilstein 6112 front struts and coil springs, new strut tops as well.

    - SPC adjustable Upper Control arms, with new ball joints (older style arms)

    - New 555 lower ball joints and tie rod ends

    - New steering rack, with poly bushings

    - New PowerStop HD pads and rotors for the front

    - New Raybestos shoes and hardware for the rear

    - New Stainless extended brake lines

    - Custom front and rear bumpers

    - Custom bed rails and tie down system (yes, it is made from uni-strut, but it really works super well, so well that I am probably going to repeat it in the next truck)

    - Bed mat so things don’t slide around

    - New tires and wheels at 180,000 miles (installed November last year, about 5700 miles on them)

    - Comes with a box of extra parts, and things I haven’t had time to install yet

o New headliner and trim parts

o Late model rear cab carpet, and trim

    o Frame plates

o Extra OEM CV axles, need to be rebooted

o Extra leaves for the rear springs

    o And some other stuff

    The Bad;

    - Needs a windshield

    - Upper interior door trim has a couple holes from an old stereo installation

    - AC idler pulley seized this winter, so I have removed it and the belt. New parts come with the truck but will need to be installed.

    - AC will need to be charged.

    - No skid plates. Never had them when I bought it and I haven’t found a nice set.

    - The fuel gauge doesn’t read correctly, runs out at about a half tank on the gauge

    - The speedometer can be a little sticky (new cable did not fix it)

    - Rear license plate light needs to be wired, it is included

    The Ugly;

    - The bed side next to the driver’s door is crumpled, it was like this when I bought it, it doesn’t affect the way the truck works, it’s just not pretty.

    - Has some magnets that hold the fuel door closed, it works, and it was like that when I got it.

    - Paint is scratched, chipped and faded. In AZ we don’t get rust, instead we get paint problems. Again, it doesn’t hurt the way the truck runs, it’s just not pretty.

    - Could use seat covers, the driver’s seat is starting to show some wear. (will need to be 4Runner covers, or possibly leather if one were to want that)

    - A few other cosmetic things could use an update, I was very focused on the functioning parts of the truck when I built it, and figured the small stuff would come later.

Clean truck, OP! Can you post a few more pics of the under-carriage? Interested in front end bits and main frame rails.

    Cheers!
