I don't know about future classics, but I think they are by far the best looking OEM wheels to be put on the 3rd gens, possibly even out of the 1st and 2nd gens as well (from memory and limited googling). I typically hate the bro-dozer black and chrome wheels on 95% of lifted full sizes, but something about the OR wheels just look correct for the truck. They are at the end of my list for things to mod/replace, if only to allow for more tire options. Small wheels + big tires looks like a proper truck to me, while the opposite should be reserved for sports cars IMO.

I see a lot of 1st and 2nd Gens rocking 3rd Gen take off wheels. Mostly ORs, but some Sport wheels.

Saw a 2nd Gen with Limited 18s. That didn't work to my eyes, but hey . . .

I thought the inverter would be so great to have. Haven’t used it once in the 3.5 years I’ve had this truck.

I think it's the Dutch, there's an entire thread about it. I think they are also bolting ovens to the frame.

I sold a '96 Ranger to get the Tacoma and would never go back. Everything on the Ranger was broken and I still enjoyed every second of driving it but the Tacoma can do 90% of anything I could ever need and the other 10% was made up in minor mods.

The Ranger was 2wd, 2 seat, and manual. Though I weep at having an auto I can now fit my family and my wife can drive it. We have a book full of memories in the truck just in the 2 years I've had it. The Ranger is just in the background of pictures and we have stories of how crappy it was.

I try to proofread and still get this. That said, onions in the networking sense are pretty rad. Highly recommend.

I’ll join. 2 overdrives is a waste of a gear. Although I’m not really sure that’s such an unpopular opinion.

My semi-popular opinion is that the OR wheels suck. I’m glad my OR didn’t come with them. Mainly because they are 16’s but also the style is really not for me.

Here's another: white lettering looks rad! Black out everything (including headlights... for some reason) was always lame

Yep. We love to remember the good ole days, and they were good but it’s all you knew at the time. I absolutely love my old Jeep but I sure don’t want to drive it for very long. Meanwhile I can drive the 3rd gen all day long just fine.
