Yokahoma geolander

Has anybody had any experiences with theese? Are they nice?

 

Do they have more than one type of them because the ones that I may buy don't look very all terrain

 

Had a set of Geolander AT/S on my work truck and they are impressive! I treat lakes and ponds so we go off road 10 to 15 times a day, over curbs, in mud, and we are always pulling a boat. We never have boat ramps so we have to rely on good tires and 4x4 to pull out our trucks and boats, these tires didn't let me down once. I wouldn't mind having a set on my Tacoma when ever money allows for it...

Do you have the P rated? I just got P265/75/16 for my Tundra, but I hope the P rated isn't gonna be a problem when I'm offroading.

Awesome to hear, because they definitely don't appear to have an aggressive tread, but I keep hearing good things about wheeling with them. I don't do any mudding either.

 

My experience with these were nothing like what is mentioned. my set went bad 25k in. They were quiet though, I will give them that. But with the expense (285/75R16) I would definitely not go with this tire again

 

Very good tire, North west we get lot of rain and I have never experienced hydroplaning in city or on the highway. Excellent dry traction, I was amazed how good they were over the stock BF Rugged trails

 

yup and i loved them they lasted forever, quiet, very smooth, and great traction everywhere...

 

I put a set on my truck a little over a month ago. They did great in the big snow we had and have handled the wet pavement well. I haven't had them off road yet, and don't really have that many miles on them yet, but so far so good.

 

Got about 40k on mine. They are great in the snow but crap on the ice, but what tire is? Road noise is great and they stick to the road vey well, cornering, ect. I would buy agian, but, I'm going to lift my truck and try some Dura Tracks.

 

Great tire just ordered a set for ma brand new Tacoma. The HT version.

 

how are the mpg? I'm looking for something not MT, but AT with the mpg gains.

 

I am not finding that size as a P-rated tire on the Yokohama website.

I see the 265/70/16 and the 275/70/16 but that's it.

I saw your post and went back to the site to double check. The fact that I couldn't get that size in anything but a "D" rated LT was pushing me to look at other brands.

Not at all questioning your post, just trying to sort it out because I would like to get 265/75/16 in a P or less than D rating.

Any info you may have to clear this up would be appreciated

 

i have the ats on my ride + like them paid $ 610.00 out the door

 

I've heard good things about these for dirt and sand.
