Quite a few things at this point..
I'll be doing the OBDR route 3 starting July 9th with my Dad. Planning 6 days, but could be less or more depending on conditions. This will be my second time doing this route so I'm familiar with the terrain difficulty (low) but with patches of snow still around in spots, could get winchy out there.

Had to sell my 17 Tacoma for a tow rig in order to pull my new home. Still here for a bit to keep in touch.
Hope everyone here is doing well. Just thought I would pop in again for an update.

Still waiting for the house to sell. More toys and more adventure are short on the horizon. Check us out @Xspiritmentaloverland on Instagram

Ive been chillin here at Cove Palisades camp hosting for June and July. Meeting some great people and had a lot of fun but looking forward to moving on in a couple of weeks. Really enjoyed the PNW overland expo and hosting the campground as so many awesome people camped over before the show. I will be here till the end of the month. I think I drive the park rangers crazy working on my truck all the time but they are all super friendly and lend a hand when they can. Then head over to Clyde Holiday state park to host for the month of August. Looks like there are a lot of good roads to explore around John Day. Spending September traveling to Thief valley out of North powder and the Alvord basin. Then its over to the Wolf creek ghost town for October. That should be fun. Supposed to be super haunted! Its a day use area but hit me up if you want to see it in the dark. I lock the gate, but I can have guests. Im sort of the night security and supposed to only allow the permitted investigators to film or bug the demons in the area. LOL From there we dont have a clue where to go. Likely head south for the winter. "Baha Mexico or the Texas gulf coast" We may come back through Oregon next summer, but I have a whole world to explore and never know where I will end up.
I get to see some really nice rigs and refer the Taco owners to check you guys out. I had a lot of fun running with ya'll. Hope the group continues to go strong.

Get out there and get dusty! And if you see me on your travels dont be afraid to stop in and say hi. Im always down for a chat and a couple of drinks!

    Full time overland for life!

The road to badger lake from the south is all clear and nicer than I remembered. The lake has been on the stocking schedule and seems full of fish. We caught 7 small ones in not much time. Saw someone with a couple larger fish.

I forgot I had a camera until I was hammock bound, so only one goofy pic and it doesn't even have the lake.

We just picked up a nice little trailer and RTT setup, bought some bed bars, and cannot wait to get out to put it all to use! Trailer needs some work to seal it all up, so it'll stay garage bound for a while

nice. I work in Vancouver so I mostly buy my gas up there so I don’t have to wait for some slow ass goon to pump my gas.

been commuting with my wife’s golf so I haven’t had to fuel up for alittle. Dunno what it’s going for at Costco up there but it’s usually my go to.

Our Diesel Cruze has AVERAGED as high as 63 mpg over a 50 mile stretch once. Cruising on the highway, consistently break 50mpg. Around town though, averaging more like 25 mpg (but that's still double what my truck gets, so i'm good).

MPGs I’d only dream of! Truck averages 16.5 and car between 17.5-21.5. This gas price surge has sucked!

It's a great do it all truck. The issue is when you wanna do it all at the same time
