    Hey @Rod03 - It appears you are sent from heaven with all of these tracking updates. Last I heard mine was scheduled to be built this week, I still have a temp VIN.
    Is there any info you could find for me?

    Thank you! I really appreciate it.

    1st time Toyota purchase here. Have deposits on 2 Tacomas. 1st built in Baja on 7/8 w/no further update.

    2nd built in MX on 7/5 & is located at Veracruz with no further info. Sale manager is confident Veracruz Tacoma will be here (Mass) in 2-3 weeks.

    Is this even possible nowadays?

    @Rod03,

    I got the permanent VIN today - 3TYCZ5AN1NT093386 but when trying to enter it into the app, it says it's invalid?

    Can you check on it, or give me some advise?

    Thank you very much!!!

    VIN is correct, shows it was build on 07/11. Still processing, maybe thats why it says invalid.

    I just got a call yesterday from my dealership stating my 2022 TRD Army Green Sport 4x4 should be here by mid-August. He said 4x4 parts and black leather which were scarce earlier in the year were now readily available and the next 2,500 Tacomas off the assembly line would be 4x4's. If that's true, mid-August would be just about a 5-month wait. I'm so stoked right now! I'm hoping he's right.

    My brother works for a Cadillac dealership that has Toyota as well. He gave me the name of a salesman and he added me to the wait list, I’m now the next in line for a pro.
    I think it just depends on where you live and a little who you know.
    Getting mine for MSRP.

    My dealer told me my truck is in F status. "On a train". How long should it take to get to the dealer?

    I believe the engine parts are made to Japan specs in Japan, but they're sent over to the U.S. to be ASSEMBLED in the factories in Mexico with everything else like the frame and body. Technically, you would be right about the Tacoma's being a Japanese truck as the original Toyota Pickup was made, designed, and manufactured in Japan. The later TaIt has a Japanese heart, but an American upbringing.

    I think the only Japanese made SUV (for the U.S. market) that's truly still built in Japan is probably the current gen 4Runner's. My mom had one, and that 4.0L V6 and 5 speed transmission may seem dated but it was bullet proof. Owning a 2nd gen TRD Pro Taco' would be another dream I would like, but I have my Trail Edition which I dearly love and enjoy.
