We are interested in a Super Pacific. Is your spot in line still available?

I emailed SP about this several days ago and haven't heard back, so I thought I'd post here.

Two of the upper seams in my tent have detached slightly. The first and largest is on the rear, the seam above the vent. I happened to grab this area as the top popped back up while closing, and about a foot of the seam detached. On closer inspection it appears this seam was never sown but rather simply glued. I say this because the edges are cut straight and clean there are no sewing holes or any evidence of a tear in the fabric. There was also considerable glue in the seam. Does anybody know if this seam was supposed to be sewn, or is it just glued?

Similarly, a few inches have come loose on the right side of the tent, in the same upper location, at the top of the vent. This seam also appears to be glued and not sown.

I have since pressed these seams back into place, so I can’t post a photo. Anybody else have similar issues?

Sorry to say this, but REALLY not helpful without photos.

How long have you had the camper? How many times have you used it?

You want photos of seams that look OK? I've had it for a little over a year and used it maybe 50 nights.

Sorry, yeah I kind of buried it in my post but since I've put the seams back in place a photo won't really show anything. I don't want to pull them open again. I did my best to describe the issue and I'm asking if anyone else had seams come apart, and if they appeared to be glued instead of sown.

No problems here either but makes me think a strap on the handle is a good preventative measure instead of pulling the sides down

How is the clearance over the Prinsu? I know the box flexes over large bumps, but does it ever touch the rack? Did you have to modify it?

I haven't taken any measurements, but I haven't had any contact between the rack and camper. Although, I do have a tubed and boxed frame so I don't think I have as much flex.

I have the SSO roof rack, there's like an inch of space between the camper and roof rack. I went and did about 500 offroad miles yhrough WA, ID and MT a week ago and i was twisted up a few times and nevwr had contact issues. I think some dudes may be rock crawling, and or driving too fast offroad, im an easy does it wheeler.

Fair enough. That would do it. Do you have any pics of the boxing?

Hey Booka-P3, I'm looking for a Super Pacific slot. I did see that someone messaged you already, but did they take it? If not, is it still available? Thanks!

When would it be ready for pick up? Just starting to research these and see there is a 5 month lead time, not sure if that is from production or putting the order in

I have done that and it does help, but then the strap is hanging down and it can flap in the wind. I have used a removable strap and then had to reattach to close, which is tricky. Need a skyhook.

Or just put it on before you open it.

Im working on replacing that handle in the middle with something else, and add pull handle.

I bolted a long strap to the inside top of the track. It goes inside the tent when it's all packed up

Like I said I have put it on before opening and it makes noise against the tent in the wind. Would tie it off but that interferes with extending the rear window cover as an awning. What I do now is remove it and then slip it over the handle again when I’m closing.
