Does that shaft have a lip on it from the old bearing boogering it up and not letting the new bearing slide on? Maybe file the top a tad and see if that helps.

    Nope.

The bearing with the black seal fits perfect .

I did not try heat to the red sealed ones, but I'm confident they were no way near the correct size .

Of course, I should add for your and everyone's curiosity. I have Guatemalan dollars, Panamanian dollars, Krone, Francs, and a few more I can't remember off the top of my head.

No. I've tried all the spindles in the black sealed bearing, they fit perfectly.

That doesn’t make any sense to me, you’d think they’d both be the same.

Really? All I can find is 52mm OD, 25mm ID. I'm not familiar with multiple dimensions for one bearing model.

Could be slightly different manufacturing tolerances.

I’ve never seen that either. No matter the make, they’ve always been the same dimension if same part #

I'll have to double check tomorrow, but the 6203 and 6206 have a couple different IDs but the same OD.

Well, there's your problem lady... you're not going to get a 25mm ID bearing on a 25.3mm OD shaft without a LOT of persuasion!

Is the shaft galled at all? That's a LONG way from the 24.99 that I would expect.

No trauma to the spindles. All 3 fit perfect in the black sealed bearing.

Imma guessing I'm sending another bearing set back to Amazon later this week.

This project is making my nuts ache!

Curious to see the ID when you measure them. May have been Monday morning or Friday evening run

That is what I'm leaning towards.
If you have an industrial supply house locally common bearings usually aren't too expensive.

McMaster-Carr is more expensive but provides first class service -- they never sell junk either.

Those bearings are most common in aftermarket Harley Davidson Wheels. Harley makes 2 front axle sizes 25mm and 1” which is 25.4mm. The part number on the bearing will be the same 6205 but the prefix or suffix will note a code that states it has been modified to a different ID. I’ve been thru several Ass aches involving exactly that in the Harley biz.

    Re: Poll
I like most anything that will leak oil on the garage floor, air compressors included.
Naturally that leads to a tool collection too.
Then you need books and manuals for all this equipment -- and equipment in general.

In the less messy section I like CDs -- probably have a few thousand, very few purchased new. We went to a flea market 2 weeks ago and I came home with 39. Most expensive was a dollar, cheapest was 2 for a quarter.

CDs lead to vintage stereo gear, some of it actually works...

My favorite piece of stereo gear, powers the garage. 48 watts per channel, built in 1977.
I found it on the side of the road over 20 years ago.
