The owner is going to cause me to go bald before I'm grey :(

Started typing out what's way to long to explain, then realized y'all don't actually care lol

TLDR boss man bought genuine honda engines that are made in China cause "TheYRe SO MuCh CheAPeR" ... doesn't listen when I tell him they're not allowed to be sold or used in the US. Show him proof cause the Chinese ground off the serial number. He gives me surprised Pikachu face meme when we sell one to a distributor and they reject the unit cause it has no serial number.

Now we have 20 units to try and pawn off on backwoods redneck operators that "won't care about having zero engine warranty"

    20220712_162847.jpg

He can't retire fast enough for me to start being in charge lol... but if this keeps up imma just start my own competitive company haha:laughing:

Amazon? Might as well go HF
I have a high torque one from HF because I figure error matters less at higher values
And a Kobalt for lower, which tbf is probably also shit but at least it feels nicer

Would either of you buy Inside the Backrooms?

It's $5 on Steam, and has very positive reviews. Just came out last month.

Supposed to be a co-op game where you need to solve clues, collect stuff, etc. to escape said room and move forward.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
It works like any other ECU, it has predetermined timing numbers on a load based map for a baseline starting point and a modulus that it can go up and down based on knock sensor input. seems to be +/- 15 degrees or so. Unfortunately I don't know what the load map looks like cause theres no way to talk to these ECUs. OV Tune at one point had a working example of an 03-04 Tacoma 3.4 ECU that was unlocked for tuning but they never uploaded the stock map. The knock sensor and it's effect are interesting too. I have some literature on that somewheres and I might have given it to you. Under load I think it is really unlikely you'd see anything over 17-19* under high load and you probably wouldn't even see that much if you're fuel tuning wasn't spot on. I used to be able to get my 4 banger Taco into the low 20s under load but it never stayed, would usually knock once or twice and the sensor would kick it back to the low teens. That's the default reaction is to knock about 10* off at the sign of knock and count back up .5* per second until a knock is heard and it holds there... you can speed it up by changing the load cell referenced in the map (let up on the throttle a bit). This behavior makes old yotas hard to boost reliably with stock computers, but it makes them excellent and efficient when they're NA. The most I've seen for advance under low load is 41*, so I know it can go pretty hgih but I'd imagine the cell it is referencing likely has a floor in the high 30s already since it wouldnt be a range you'd see knock in.

This is a super conservative supercharger ignition map. The cells here are on RPM and Fuel Load (MAP sensor reading)
