So good news is I went and got all the supplies needed, and when I cracked the coolant drain bolt this morning, coolant came out. :amen: Looks like it was just underfilled by quite a bit. Based on the blue color, looks like engine ice or water wetter.

Couple distilled water cycles and then time for 1.2L of coolant and :fingerscrossed:

Oil level still looks good and in spec so Im less worried about a head gasket than I was a few days ago.

Downside of this is it takes about a 1.25ish hrs per cycle between a fill, idle to temp, wait to cool, drain, repeat.

Been tackling all my putoff projects while Im in limbo. Regraded and dug out a bunch of dirt that caused the rock issue, so mulch goes down in a little bit.

Clogged sprinkler in the front fixed.Truck oil bought and changed. Front yard weeded. Fence side gonna get weeded once the sun goes to the afternoon angle and I can be in the shade.

So what I think happened is if you fill it totally full when its upright on a center stand, when its leaned over on the kick stand, it looks exactly like the empty shot above looking through the fill cap, with the fluid line just out of sight.

The manual says to top it off once it is leaning on the kickstand. I went to top it off and the difference from appearing empty to totally full is like maybe 2oz. I think my issue was being a teeny bit low on coolant, but really just asking a lot of a small displacement bike at the top of its operating range in the scorching heat.

Rode to work today and it got me here without a fuss.

Just waiting the hour or so for the bike to cool down, but my repair stand was blocking the garage door from closing so I couldn't go anywhere for errands so had to fill the time with yardwork, etc.

Pulled a Brexit and left my Austrian 390 at the dealer. This Triumph is the bike I wish I bought from the start.

New bike day, and a proper gin and tonic to celebrate!

Draco looks like he might want a celebratory gin and tonic as well.

What are the deets on the bike?
