Don’t the potential rescuers have to have a RECCO specific tracker for the transmitter to be effective as well? Which last I looked into that tech isn’t a widely used tool from a SAR perspective. Admittedly that was some time ago.

I’ve been POC curious but their model line seems to be pretty vast and not very easily differentiated. Maybe I’m just a dummy but I feel like I need a POC for dummies legend

Correct. Recco is sorta like sonar. You shoot out a signal with a RECCO beacon and the chip thingy in the helmet reflects it.

Ski resorts *might* have one, but the concensus seems to be that theyre rare to have, and not something thats in the mission critical gear bag even if they do.

Agreed. It wasn’t till I googled the difference between tectal and kortal that I noticed the slight shape differences.

Got a few rides in on the new tires, even though I'm a XC newb going from Ikons to DHR/DHF has made a huge difference. much more confidence and control in the corners

I love the minion twins. I run Assegai/DHR on my enduro rig and DHF/aggressor on my trial rig.

They are an excellent front tire. I run exo+ with 3c Maxx terra usually. 2.5 or 2.6 wide.

Technically this has been floating around here for over a year now.. The wheels are the new item on this bike. It get’s parts I want to keep, but aren’t on my bike.

If I was to get a new bike for myself it would have to compliment the Arrival on my sore days…… an emtb

I went to a local shop and tried all the POCs. Here's how I'd break it down in terms of looks (and protection?)...
    • Axion = XC
    • Tectal = Trail
    • Kortal = Enduro/Trail
    • Otocon = Enduro/DH

For any aggressive riding, Assegai up front! I've not ridden a tire that grips as well on hard and loose stuff.

The green line is still a lot of fun. Just watch your speed coming into that first berm when it’s super dry :D

Totally, it's crazy because I feel like I am pushing myself speed wise and still having people catch up to me by the bottom. I usually have enough momentum to roll over the big tabletop but not jump it . I'm still fat so the stakes of pushing too hard and eating shit are high so I'm a little on the conservative side hahaha

Just saw this on my Instagram feed, thinking about checking it out. Not finding much info on it when I search it though.
