No access cab according what source? Only test mules out on public roads now have Tundra double cab bodies shoehorned on the mid-size frame

From what I’ve seen on mules it’s not going to have traditional suicide doors, so the true access cab most likely is out

Those mules are still running Tundra bodies (including a Tundra bed with a foot cut off in front), so there's nothing to be learned about the Tacoma's cab configs.

The 2nd gen Tacoma mules at the equivalent stage of development were built with 4Runner and 1st gen Tundra body parts:

But the third gens weren’t hidden as much, plus we kinda know how it looks with the “prototype” Toyota showed already. From the source here they are on final stage since the release is next summer and there is little can be done in design changes.

Toyota probably has the 4th gen bodywork done, but not testing in public.

3rd gens were released mid-2015. In Aug 2014, mules on public roads still looked like this, with 2nd gen body on 3rd gen power train:

The design was locked in about 2 years ago, SOP is 2023-07, hybrid will follow 14months later, funny enough that 4runner will be introduce with ICE and Hybrid at the same time with SOP of 2024-10

If the hybrid layout is similar to the Tundra's, then it'll be a NiMH battery pack taking up all the storage space under the rear seats. Laughably small capacity (same as two Northstar AGM lead-acid batteries) but very robust against abuse.

I think this truck looks better with no cap. Not as practical but looks better I think.

    Good.
Dont give a shit who or what you drive, Driver deserves the book thrown at him.

50 over on the Highway, sure.
50 over trying to get a hospital, sure.

50 over on a basic street for the "lolz", get bent.

goes back to adding hundred more lbs to the truck to make it even slower.

    Agreed on all fronts.

If you can afford the super/hyper car, you can afford the track time.
