Sold the XSR700 yesterday to a Navy guy, he seemed super excited and was very happy with the level of maintenance I kept up with, along with the mods and extra stuff I threw in for him (clutch and throttle cable, OEM mirrors and rear shock). Got $7500 for the bike, which was $1500 more than any dealer offered me and $500 more than I bought it for. Hopefully will stay in contact with him and get some rides with him so I can still have some visitation for my first baby.

That's a great selling price! Always sad watching them leave. If you ever feel like a Saturday morning ride up the coast, Cars & Coffee in San Clemente always has a pretty solid motorcycle contingent. I ride down from Santa Ana on my putt putt every now and then...when my back can handle it :anonymous:

Yeah went much smoother than I expected, and glad it's going to a guy who is as excited about it as I was when I bought it.

Haven't had much chance to take the BMW out yet, i only got to ride it down from LA when I first picked it up, been in the shop since for the big valve service + front fork service + brakes, oil, and some other small stuff. Guy has been shortstaffed and had a bit of a queue, should be picking it up after work today and then I'll take it out for a spin.

Based off that ride from LA though, I think I'm gonna love it. Good news is the shop called me yesterday and let me know that all the valves were in spec, and the bike looks to be in great condition

Yup broke my heart a bit to watch her ride off into the sunset without me haha. But I know she's going to a good owner, and I had my fun with her.

San Clemente cars and coffee you say? I could see that happening soon. That stretch of road is always nice to ride

Was just looking at the specs of a s1000rr. 205hp and 434lbs sounds like a good time

It's every Saturday morning from 9am-11am. Thinking about riding mine down and slapping a for sale sign on it. Lots of money running around that parking lot on a Saturday morning. lol

The difference between my XSR and the S1000RR is very pronounced lol. Similar weights, vast power difference, and different engine altogether.

I might spend the first month or two in Rain mode as I get used to it. Don't foresee myself ever using slick mode, unless i end up tracking a year or two down the line.

Lol not a bad idea. I probably should have done something similar but oh well, it all worked out.

Wouldn't be able to make this weekend, but next should certainly be doable

Coming off a 44hp 390. I'm sure it wouldn't be too bad after some acclimation.

205 would terrify me. Then again, I'm a pretty conservative rider.

I just looked up the 2013 Speed Triple specs, which I think was my "fastest" bike. 133bhp

My CBR600F4i only had something like 105 HP and that bike scared the crap out me. I never found the full potential of that bike, never had the nerve for it. It felt like sitting on a rocket.

I guess it comes down to experience, skill and confidence.

Insurance ended up totaling my FZ-09 and gave me $7000 for it. Sucks I only got to enjoy the bike for 4 months/1000 miles. Still focused on recovering and getting back out there, I miss riding a lot

After two years of running Vermont plates on the CT90 (Vermont loophole FTW) I finally went to the DOL and got it registered and titled in WA state. Only got a tiny amount of pushback for not having a title (vermont doesn't issue for under 250cc or older than 20yrs I think? something like that at least..) and for not having a verified weight. They googled it and called that good enough, whoop.

Vermont PM420 has now been retired to the garage wall :hattip:
