Sure the reduced weight makes it handle much better.

Problem is that there are not a lot of tracks out there that are close, big enough, and have time available.

Just like going off-roading... this province is not very motorsports friendly.

Agreed as well. It’s unfortunate, and with the trends what they are these days, it doesn’t look like that’ll be changing anytime soon.

Well, we drive 4 hours to offroad because rock crawling at home depot sucks. Trailer the car and take it to the track for everyone's safety. We buy the trucks knowing where we have to go to enjoy them, I assume people who buy track cars know where the tracks are. Cost of the hobby. City streets are for city speeds

The way things are going, we might end up with the same "anti-speeding" tech they are mandating in the EU now...

Laws of physics still apply. If the Lambo is able to do 170 on a stretch of road, the 60 limit would've been deliberately set low, either as traffic calming measure by NIMBYs, or for revenue generation.

As I always say, our laws “cost” not illegal, sucks to be poor. Even the speeding signs along hwy says “cost”.

Probably, I think in general they agree that following platform will be BEV, I believe the gen after next GX (new one has SOP 2023-10), will be BEV, which makes lot of sense when you think about TNGA-F is design for decent payload, so the suspension and frame and others are all there to take the weight of battery packs, and the rear axle will likely be a solid e-axle.

Makes sense as combustion engine sales will be banned in some states and provinces 8 years from now.

Finland is ahead of this with income based fines. I am sure there are loophole to make it look like you are poor but idk the details of how the evaluation is done.

Possible, I don't see anything change from my end, but then what I see and final product tend to have gaps up to few months.
