I’m excited to get it, should be ordering it in a few weeks. Then if needed upgrade the master cylinder and booster off of a tundra

I’ve been eyeballing a similar set up with same calipers, 14” x 1.25 rotors”. Though piecing it together to try to match the tundra booster and master cylinder. Trying get match the same piston areas up front to give it that same tundra pedal feel.
Most of the Tacoma specific calipers on Wilwood seemed to be 4.86 piston area. Tundra oem piston area matched up closet to the 5.40 sq in calipers. It will be something I’ll be getting around doing sometime while this trucks cut in half haha

Everything I’ve read thus far says that to run a 14” rotor a 18” wheel is required. Not sure what size you’re running but something to keep in mind.

Every time I see these brake kits, it makes me hate having 16” wheels. Especially with tire costs.

That’s what I want to do homework on. I swore I saw another bbk that worked on several 17in wheels with their 14in rotors. If I can’t do it I’ll stay with the 13 in.

@906taco Tacomabeast Alcon BBK used 14in rotors, fits “Most” 17 they claim. I have to get the specs of wheels and the Wilwood set ups to see if there is fitment on paper.

I think 14" rotors fit 17 diameter wheels, from what I have seen. The reason they claim "fits most" is because not all offsets clear the caliper.

Correct. Finding the right caliper that has dimensions that would fit onto a 14” while inside a 17” wheel would be the task. Backspace plays part into this as well.

it would also be very wheel specific and not an answer to all if a configuration out there works.

ABS deleted and a proportioning valve thrown in. Not pretty but it works. Someday Ill remove all the Toyota brake lines and run straight from the master cylinder to the brakes to clean it up. But for now this will do. ECD59C14-3DE4-4737-B0E1-E50E09E96102.jpg

I can't leave anything well enough alone
Looking for front axle parts. I know a lot of you have had broken axles, and a lot of you have sent in or done the mods yourselves for 934 axle upgrade. I'm looking for a spare inner and outer cup on the axle. I want to be able to plug the holes when I take the axle out and keep driving in 2wd. I know what I'm asking for is the only part of the stock axle used in the 934 conversion. Maybe someone has an aftermarket part that wasn't acceptable for that purpose? Or maybe someone took several axles apart looking for the best parts to use? At any rate, I don't have immediate ability to take the axle apart, but if all I can come up with is someone's full axle, I will try to find the right equipment to get it apart.

Harry says he throws away aftermarket parts immediately, so has nothing. CVJ was too busy to disassemble a broken axle for the parts, and wanted an arm and leg for new ones.

Someone out there has to have grenaded axle parts laying around! Hoping I can get some help from someone with more broken parts than me and more spare stuff...

Here is what I want as long as the threads and splines function:

    Thanks in advance

not that I know of. Not that I want to go out in Phx in 110 heat and get an axle out anyway. There are junkyards, but Tacoma anything is expensive. And I don't think these parts are worth the $100 price range for a full axle, that I would then have to pay to get taken apart. Hoping to reach someone with broken parts in a heap, put in box and send cause they aren't gonna do anything else but throw away. crossing fingers... this group has a lot of broken parts collectively. I know OEM parts have value for the 934 conversion, but maybe someone has broken stuff, screwed up the tripod joint, or broken a CV and can press it apart and send me the bits I need....

yeah, they all want at least $150 for an axle assembly. I recognize the business names. Some good, but all expensive. And I don't have the ability to get the axle apart, so then have to deal with the unknown price of someone pressing the axle apart until it breaks... not sure how much that is. But someone in this community... crossing fingers... would have both the parts and the ability to separate and sell me something that is useless otherwise... Thanks.

Yeah, it’s just pricy. It would be more attractive at the cost of that Wilwood kit, but I’d still rather put the money towards the JD SUA. Go fast first, stop later ya know

I gotta do something with my deaver expo springs in the meantime. They were fine with my old setup, but even with the compression tubes open on my bypasses, I’m too tall and too stiff just riding around town. I wanna say I can remove a leaf, but I gotta call deaver

The Superlight 6r wilwood is probably your best bet. Lowest profile of any caliper I’ve put on something. With that said, the only real advantage you’re going to get messing with a 14” is slightly better cooling and maybe a slight improvement in stopping power. The 13.3” rotor in the kit @EatSleepTacos shared is probably the nicest happy medium yet.
