I could point you to a spot I've used north of Pinkham Notch if that's on your way.

It could be on my way, I was looking to get a little further north but that might work.

I'm headed up there tomorrow, anybody have a site they particularly like? Looking to do some kayaking and fishing.

Getting to be almost "GO" time. I've talked with both @.Q. & @deanosaurus about their plans and I'm still planning to do the full week. Is anybody else in a spot to commit or bow out?

I saw a Facebook post I think on 207 overland - the roads by baker lake in the western part of the woods, a bit west of the trains I think, are NOT in good shape apparently. Just a heads up.

I was just up there this weekend, there’s a lot of water up there and washed out roads. Other than that they’re in good enough shape, just typical pot holes and washboard

Oh and also with the length of your trip I think just buying a season pass will save you some cash. I bought one sense I will be going back up at least twice hopefully.

This is such a cool trip. I wish I had the time to get up there for it. My grandfather lived in Mars Hill, but I never made it up that far when we visited Maine.

Good stuff, can't wait to see the pictures.

Aw damn. I wish I saw this sooner. I hope you have a great time up there. Curious to hear how the bp51s do up there.

Appreciate the heads-up. We're not going to be as far west as Baker Lake, but it's good to have as much intel as possible, just in case.
I checked into that, an out-of-state season pass is $180, we'll be there for 4 days/3 nights $109. I don't have any plans to go back up this summer, so I'm good with the day/night rate for this trip. Still more good info though for others. Thanks!

Check the calculations - day 4 isn’t included in your cost. For an overnight, you include as many days as nights. So it’s 3/3 even though you’re there that 4th day after the 3rd night.

You can download the form to fill out ahead of time (that’s what we’re planning on doing) and there’s instructions on it all.

I've got the form downloaded, I just haven't read it thoroughly yet, so we'll end up at $93 for the 3 nights, even better.

    Thanks Eammon!!
I will check out the updated links and trip itinerary later tonight.
Great to hear that the NMW fees are less than expected (thanks GarlicFarts for the info). More money for gas now haha

Hell yeah! I'm glad you should be able to make it. I hope that I've made your effort worthwhile.
