It's not that bad, and far as I know it's a homegrown Toyota mod.

dimming the brightness of the dash AND display doesn't help a damn for retaining night vision. The dash lighting (adjusted by the small knob on instrument cluster) seems to go from super bright to bright (there is no dim.)

Again last night at 1 am trying to reverse the trailer and cussing the F'n interior lighting.

May I suggest the ol' towel-over-the-dashboard mod? You can bring that one back from the 1980's, for a whole new application.

Someone needs to make a layer of tint for the gauge cluster and the head unit. I agree. I hate how bright they both get but the buttons are barely lit.

That low-brow solution takes care of some of the lights and I'm forced to do that on occasion. Automatic transmissions have a bright LED indicator on the shifter (that does not dim with the cluster) and there are lighted buttons elsewhere (above, door.)

The tint idea is actually a good one, and easy to DIY. I've used these to dim some aftermarket switches. They work.

Worst upgrade is anytime you replace a previous upgrade with a new 'bigger is
better' upgrade. Some us can't convince spouses to agree to purchase your first upgrade. There should be a pity forum to donate cast-off pieces and parts. Lord knows I need some stuff on my taco to compensate for personal shortcomings like many who think bigger is better.:anonymous:

As I mentioned before, chrome looking paint. This guy has now added a cover to his bed and put his signature finishing touch on it, just like a lot of other parts on the truck like the vent visors and hitch.

    Careful,
I’ve found saying you think raptor lights look silly makes some people with raptor lights so agitated they invite you over to ‘say it to their face’.

Should we discuss dealer optioned Predator sidesteps?
