Salem's are $7.44 here. Marlboro's are $6.48

 

Fun fact, Winston Salem is a large town next to us where R.J. Reynolds tobacco company once was back in the day, hence the name "Winston" on one pack and "Salem" on the other.

 

Pretty close. At home they are $70/carton. Up here in the north of the state I found them for $62.00. Marlboro is $98.00. Roll your owns work out to around $25.00. I don’t smoke them when driving. The fire tends to fall out and these leather seats wouldn’t be happy.

 

I smoked regular Lucky Strikes while I was in the Army. I actually quite liked their flavor. I bought them at the Base PX (Post Exchange) for....... $3 for a CARTON. Of course that was in 1985/86...... I never knew they made a menthol stick. Of course maybe they didn't back then. And I switched over to cigars around 1986 and haven't touched cigarettes since then.

 

Not sure if these stacks are still standing or not but I remember when they were.
