To anyone in the military that understands flag placement you end up looking like a tool with a flag pointed the wrong way. It's simple, put the union/stars facing the direction you are moving forward. If that is confusing you could google early war paintings for reference. The union/stars is always in the direction of the attack. So if it's not in the direction you are traveling say placed on your tailgate you are displaying the flag in an incorrect orientation.

With that said, it's a freaking magnet on a vehicle, we have bigger problems to worry about.

Lets try to not tear each other apart for correct or incorrect display of the American Flag. Im not military, Im retired law enforcement. The way I see it , its great that people display it in general. Give em a pass.

Where did you purchase those from, how hard is it to get the top cover of the mirror off to install them?

I'm dealing with the body shop , still waiting for parts as my Tacoma was rear ended by an elderly couple in South Carolina, they have no ETA on the parts to repair my truck, so I drive around now with my blind spot and back up sensors not working and my bumper corner parts held on with industrial zip ties. I know your pain.

Actually very easy to remove the mirror cap. Just tug on it from the outer edge to the inner edge. There’s only one clip that comes out kinda hard. But just a quick tug and it comes out. The light itself is removed with only two screws. There are a number of YouTube videos on how to do it. When you plug in the new light, teat it first. The plug goes on both ways but only one way works. Anyway, one of the easiest mods I’ve done. I got the lights off Amazon for $37 on a Prime deal. Normally $45.

Second this, those are the exact ones I got as well. It'll sound horrible when you pry the cap off, but just be patient and you won't break anything. The pry tool they include helps immensely, start at the outer edge and work upward until it's loosened up to the final tab, then just pull (it'll come off fast, so be sure to hold it or be ready to catch it :D )

Took the whole dash apart just to tighten the ground terminal bolt for the anytime front camera mod. My goofy ass didn’t tighten the bolt enough the first time around.

I taped the painted part "just in case". It surprises you when it pops and I did fling one of them. Several layers of tape and no damage.

I put it right up against me and tugged. Basically have it a hug.

I popped mine off with the side of the garage door, including the blinker assy. Thankfully it all snapped back together and works.
