Yeah. That would be a shaft supported by two bearings in a case, the ends of the shaft one end that couples to a motor and the other end a mechanical seal and impeller.
I'm not sure exactly the style of this one because the FIN Team has had it for a couple of days.
We usually refer to the FIN Team ( fix it now) as the VIB Team...Validate it's broken then have the regular working slugs fix it.

 

I'm trying to figure out the logistics of getting off work at 4:00, getting a kid to a class at 5:00, dropping my wife's car off at the dealership before they close tonight without knowing when my wife will be done working, getting a ride... somewhere... from someone, and picking the kid up at 6:00.

 

Round plates out of square, sure thing.

 

Luckily I tapped four 1/4-20 holes 3/8” deep in the bottom and bolted them to their mating piece and held them with a collet.






I didn’t have the collet tight enough on the first one and it started twisting.

Kid with new car isn't in the equation. He works from 5:00-9:00.

 

Just got put on high alert stand by for this, got to jump on it as soon as material comes in so it can get to powder coat and be shipped to Texas by the end of the month. Painters are backed up is the biggest problem.

I spent a pile of hours in those one man lifts, they get heavy when you push them all the way across the plant.

More irritating is when someone on the night shift "borrows" it, usually to paint something, and puts it back at your job with the battery flat... Six feet from an outlet...
