Don't make me find the list... there's a lot of engines that are too weak to benefit

Why are people in such a hurry? Pedal to the metal everywhere they go, only to arrive at their destination a few minutes sooner with a shitty driving record, expensive insurance, wasted gas, and a ragged out pos. I love it when that kind of driver gets behind and rides my ass. I slow down to exactly the speed limit if they tailgate me.

Because BMW and Supra owners have hopped on the Tacoma bandwagon when they should have bought a Ridgeline.

Best part is when they're cutting off cars and they still end up at a red light.

Reading through this thread is hilarious, people have clearly overpaid for 20+ year work truck and are now expecting it to deliver the moon and the sun.

Exactly right, I also do it just to piss them off. If they get to close, I slow down some more.

1st gen Tacomas gets a bad reputation for lower ball joints because they’re the only vehicles that last that long for many years.
Any parts are bound to wear down eventually.

I find the 3.4 power adequate. It’s tuned for torque. Modern engines have vvti and all that fun stuff which makes power bands way broader. My tundra is vvti, my uncles is not. Both 4.7. It’s a noticeable difference.

if you want more power, supercharge it, engine swap it, or sell it and buy a corvette.

I made it a point to test out the acceleration while merging onto the Interstate today. If I punch the gas peddle to the floor, and it kicks down into passing gear, it has way more than enough power and speed to merge onto the highway. It will get up and go from 50-70 mph without issue.

I must say... after doing that for 2 lights watching the crowd of people stop at the light you just made is very satisfying

Than you catch up with another crowd and need to do it all over again

Corvette is an old man's sports car, New balances are "the" old man sneakers. It's a common joke that all Corvette owners wear their New Balances when out for a drive.

Joke? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a corvette owner without new balances

I’m a few years shy of 40 and I’ve worn new balances for ages. You can’t beat the comfort. I always choose that over style.
