OME Nitrocharger Sport 880/881

    This is the kit I bought. I also installed a 3 degree axle shim in the rear for better driveline angles. Some people need it...others don't. But if you do, it will raise it by another 1/4".

    OME 881 coil springs, OME nitrocharger sport shocks front and rear. Nitro 4:56 gears. ARB rear locker. Shrockworks front bumper with Warn M8000S winch. 17x9 SCS Ray 10 wheels w/ 285/70/17 Toyo Open Country RT Trail tires. Corbeau Trailcat bucket seats. Go Rhino roll bar w/ KC Daymaker lights. GMRS Radio. Ham Radio.
    53340EBF-5DF4-4DA8-824F-0882D08C260A.jpg 294BA4D5-97B6-4EEB-8FF6-9662EC72BE32.jpg I got the same shocks and had 880s with a stock bumper. I then replaced the bumper/winch and replaced the 880s with 881s. I didn’t measure the difference but here’s how it is now. Tires are 285/75/16 KM3s.

    how do you know if you need the axle shim? Or is it just a precaution

    Some trucks develop a vibration after a lift. You will then have to use a angle meter to determine what degree shim you need. Sometimes it also requires you to shim your carrier down a bit as well. It's kind of random and not everyone experiences it but if you do it can be a pain in the ass to remedy.

    Oh yeah, you will also have to take apart your leaf pack to get the shim in...basically redoing everything. Joy.

    Oh yeah, and I had to order another set of u-bolts and the leaf pack centering pin because the shim made it so that they weren't long enough since I cut them after the first install. Double joy.

    Dang ok well that’s good to know… I have an extra pair of long U-bolts I’ll keep around just in case.
