@lynyrd3 , sorry you have to make that decision. It's a very difficult thing to do. Been there and done that or similar situation with one of our Labrador's.

Holy shit, I've driven through there way too many times. The stretch of 81 leading up to that can be kinda sketchy!

 

What kinda sketchy?

 

That particular part of I-81 is very mountainous and only two lanes ladened with semi traffic. Then you get closer to Scranton it's a free for all. Driving South you go through plenty of steep grades, some 3-lane. I-81 need to be 3 lanes from Maryland to New York it's so busy. We always dubbed it the 81 parking lot around the I-81/78 junction and around Carlisle. Going through Harrisburg ain't too bad. Keep in that left lane and keep the hammer down!
