Hello all, I apologize if this isn't the right place to post this but I am looking to get a Tacoma sometime this fall. I heard a rumor that they were getting rid of the Army Green, I was curious if anybody had heard something similar. Also, what color (if any) they would bring in to replace the Army Green. The green is my number 1 choice so just trying to see if I should pull the trigger sooner than I planned. Thanks!

Yes. Army Green will be getting replaced by Electric Lime for 2023 as it moves down to the other trims.

Questionable decision on Toyota's part to say the least. Army Green is cool AF, Electric Lime is :annoyed:

I have not seen an announcement from Toyota with the 2023 colors. Where do you see that?

Solar Octane is the new one I believe

I'm sure they will have Black, White / WS pearl / Ice cap (only going off what some of the 3rd gen Tundra's are coming out with) and MGM

There wasnt one yet. Just looking at the writing on the wall. You will notice in the press release that Army Green is no longer an option on the trail package. Also Toyota wont have 2 greens options at one time and the exclusive pro color always moves down to the other trims the following year.

If there was ever a time to break that trend, Electric Lime is it.

Here is what it'll most likely look like. The "?" is because its not confirmed
    upload_2022-7-14_19-33-26.jpg

    Special Colors:

Quicksand = 5 Years (not special for taco, but for 4runner/tundra)
Inferno = 3 Years (special for 2nd gen, but carried over)
    Cement = 5 Years
    Cavalry Blue = 2 Years
    Voodoo Blue = 3 Years
    Army Green = 3 Years

Does this mean we will never see a Solar Octane DCLB 6MT?

I don’t think there will be a DCLB with a manual at all

I really appreciate the responses, it looks like my timeline of joining the Taco club is going to get moved up if I want to get my goal color of green. There are worse things to have happen I guess lol.

Technically we won't see it on any other trim level other than TRD Pro. Which means that the solar octane TRD Pro will probably be the most valuable 3rd gen configuration in a few decades.

That's what I was thinking. Which one to put in a bubble? Would the MT Solar Octane Pro with delivery miles be the $300K Tacoma in 2052? Or will people forget all about MT by then?

Just as we had an Inferno option for launch of 3rd Gen. We will likely see Solar Octane to debut the 4th Gen.
    Just guessing of course.

I’ll take Lunar Rock if Army Green gets discontinued.
