A guy talked his friend into swapping them as far as I could tell. I don’t think there was a performance issue or anything.

Those look pretty good. Are you willing/able to build a new set of harnesses?

Actually, it sounds like you are proposing a deal. I am definitely interested. Let's talk. Where are you located, btw?

I don’t mind halogen. In fact, I much prefer oncoming traffic with soft yellow wussy lights.

This thread perfectly encapsulates what the 3rd gen section is all about.

If you want to do it, then go for it. I had to rewire my truck when I went from the halogens to the OEM LED before a harness existed.

I do agree that the Halogens "look" better, but as for how they function? Not even close.

    Your truck, your rules though.

There are people that like to correct others and point out that Frankenstein was the doctor, not the monster. And then there are those who understand that the doctor WAS the monster….
Anyway, these are all done

The turn signal utilized the OEM plug ground. The high/low beam each have an 18 gauge ground as well an 18 gauge shared from side marker and DRL. Those three 18 gauges go to a 12 gauge that will need grounded to the chassis. The one on the left also has an added tap for grille lights (or SSC3 backlights which are becoming a popular choice), but that was just me throwing it in because I wanted to.

The band crimp on 3x18 to 1x12 for ground is where I get the most sad with these. No better way though.

You could run the three 18’s to the chassis. I made the 12 gauge 18” long, which is probably a foot longer than it need to be. Or you could run the three to a 6 position Metripack 280 and use a buss bar in it, but that seems like way overkill. Honestly, with grounds, I think the heatshrink on the butt connector is overkill as it is :)

LED Downgrade complete. Huge thanks to @Puppypunter for the custom wiring harness, and big shoutout to @no vtec 4me (Kevin) for the great BHLM. The setup works flawlessly (once we reversed the polarity on the high beam connection). I am loving the look!!

And if anyone wants to buy a set of barely used OEM LEDs, just hit me up!

    Looks good!

So glad you went this route and not those junk depo lights the one dude wanted to offload. No offense to that guy, but that would have been a downgrade to a "downgrade".

Talking purely aesthetics, I also don't care for the look of the led headlights, that led strip really kills it for me. Performance aside, I will take the led halogens every day of the week.

I did my bhlm similar to yours, just not as fancy. Blacked out housing, amber leds, and amber painted led housing.
