How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Hey everyone! Really loving all the info in this thread and on this entire site. I put a deposit on a white 2022 SR SX access cab 4x4 V6 recently. I know I have a good wait in front of me no matter what, but was wondering if anyone has any insight on if they think that that specific SR model might be built/arrive faster or slower than some of the higher end TRD models that have the technology packages and other cool options added on. I personally didn't add any of the tech packages just the cosmetic sx package. Big shoutout to @Rod03 for helping everyone out with their vin status. Have really enjoyed seeing all his updates while reading through this thread. Appreciate all the info!

I guess you have nothing better to do then nitpick typing errors on forums. If it was funny that would be one thing but it wasn't.... well maybe a 10-year-old might think it was funny. If you don't have something funny witty or intelligent to contribute to a conversation then STFU.

 

Does anyone know how accurate the dealer ETA is? They are telling me delivery should definitely happen between July 13-18. I know I still have a few days left but am growing impatient after waiting 7 months lol. Thanks

 

I was first told ETA June 28, Then July 6th , Then July 28th we will see dealer accuracy is suspect. Good luck

Thanks for checking. Not sure what my salesman is trying to do, but he still says not to expext it until well into Aug. I may start making drive throughs at the dealership on my way home. I don't want them setting it out and using as bait to draw people in. The one the showed me before I put my deposit down I wonder if thats what they were doing. They had it nicely displayed in the showroom.

Have gotten two notifications since last night saying. "Camry has multiple vehicle alerts, please check app for more details." Car has yet to be shipped I believe. and on the homescreen it shows the fuel tank ... mi

not sure if it’s permanent vin but dealer allocation & 2-6 weeks out per sales rep.
Have paperwork stating under 45 days.

How do you find out if it’s been made and location?

 

I test drove the Sport and the OR and found the Sport to be a significantly nicer driving experience. Realistically 90% of my driving will be on paved roads, and the other 10% will be the kind of gravel and dirt roads that any high-clearance 4x4 will be more than capable for.

I see some posts on here where people are incredulous that anyone would get a Tacoma other than the OR or Pro. To me, and I'm guessing to a pretty significant amount of Tacoma drivers, we'll never get ourselves into a situation where we really need the more serious features.

 

That is the permanent VIN, which means that the truck has been made + left the production factory. As for location, @Rod03 is your go to guy for that.

 

Not sure thats entirely true. Ive had a permanent vin for a month today and still hasn't left the factory.
