From stock gears? Big difference. Much better low end torque, faster overall acceleration. Runs at about 2200 RPM at 70MPH on 33" tires.

 

Did the SC add a lot too?

 

From a performance perspective the SC made the biggest difference and the gears augmented that.

That is NICE! I only get 13...guess I DO need to spend 7k and pick up the extra 4 mpg.

 

For the guys that installed and air/fuel gauge where did you install the bosch sensor? I have a revel VLS guage and it says to install upstream of the cat. The cat is part of the exhaust manifold and does not look like there’s room to install. Pictures would be awesome. Thanks

 

I installed a new Y-pipe with an extra bung.

 

It must be installed pre-cat, for the readings to be meaningful. I installed it on the passenger side, between the existing Toyota one and the top of the cat. Appears I do not have a picture, but i marked this one where it is welded in, just cut a circle in the shielding for it and put the shielding back on after.

 

Maybe percussion maintenance is in order for the laptop - apologies of reviving this that has surely been solved by now!

 

Just box it back up and send my way!

 

Anyone know if Magnuson will sell the unit without the tuner stuff for a cheaper price? I've already got all the hardware and software from VFtuner and would buy the Yotawerx tune - would be nice to pick up a cheaper version without those things.

 

I think they'd removed the tuner kit option from their site. Your best bet is likely to ask them directly

 

That's what I figured. I debated getting one of the tuner kits a while back but yotawerx was still working out the tune. Now that it's available I'm feeling the itch again

 

It was very short lived on their website. I’m sure they were getting more questions than it was worth since all sales are through dealers that have the capability to tune and can answer those questions directly or escalate them to Magnuson on the behalf of their customer and their own knowledge.

 

Well got a big "nope" on that request from Magnuson. They said due to being in CA and requirements to follow EPA guidelines means they can only sell the full kit with their tune/calibration.

 

Maybe you can sell the VF Tuner to someone else, just be sure to give them their VIN.

 

Mine actually has 5 extra credits on the account so I guess someone else could use it to unlock theirs...if they also have a 2020. Hard to know how that sale would work with all the restrictions VFtuner has on their stuff now.

Just sort of a bummer having to spend money on hardware you already own and a tune you won't be using in the first place

 

Need to know this for a later date as well.

Possible way is to find someone who is selling their SC (new or installed). There have been a few posted (nib and converting back to NA before selling truck) - and sold.
