When I got mine done it was in the Verde Valley. Immediately drove down to Phoenix for an Xmas party at a restaurant, and then all the way back up to Flagstaff after that was over.

It didn't bother me much at all, although I am not sure why. I don't enjoy pain in the slightest, so I wasn't relishing in any discomfort or anything like that.

Anyone running cold air intake? Pros vs Cons
    Shopping around for now.
I'm not sold on the open top of K&N seems like it would suck in the engine air as well as through the wheel fender.
S&B has a clear lid that screws on to the top of a box to block engine hot air out.
If i threw on a snorkel later down the road will it effect how it mounts through the fender?

Basically pointless unless you want extra noise in the cabin. Also oiled filters are suspect for offroad (or just generally dusty) conditions.

Your best bet would probably be to keep the stock airbox and get an AFE dry flow filter (non-oiled, cleanable). Way cheaper, and probably the same performance "gain" (almost none).

I figured, I have enough noise from my exhaust! Ive got a K&N filter in there now, just wasnt sure if CAI is worth it.

I just did the cowl intake airbox mod thingy and added the K&N intake tube, see quotes above for my posts about it. Worked flawlessly at 12,000 above sea level in Colorado last week as well as through numerous water crossings and torrential downpours at highway speed and offroad. Makes a tiny bit of noise with the K&N tube that deletes the resonator but I like it. Also butt dyno is tricking me into thinking there is a tiny improvement in throttle response and low end torque.

When I bought Kings for my 12" rear conversion most places I talked to said the PR2012-SS and PR2012SSA were stocked items. I had mine in like a week and that was at the height of covid. At the time ORW, Accutune, Downsouth all had them in stock.

edit: also a lot of lead times have been coming down esp. for made in america shit. Maybe try asking ADS since you're in Tucson you might get them much faster than what the lead times say.

If anyone can find some 10" versions I need those for my Blazer :D

Everybody, including ADS are 10 to 12 weeks out. What's the difference between the ss and ssa? I see a couple places saying they have the king's in stock but get mixed results when I call. I'd rather a fox or bilstein but I'd run the king's if I can get then quick. I haven't talked to down south yet. They are next on the list

Ahh, I guess the last two years has conditioned me to think 10-12 weeks isnt a bad lead time ha!

SS are remote reservoir, no adjustment. SSA are remote reservoir with clickers.

Gotcha. That's on the short end too. I got quotes for shocks that could be delivered "by the end of the year"
I just just need to find someone with something in stock. I'll upgrade later if need be.
