Apologies if this has been brought up in this thread before, but I'm new to TW, and didn't wanna read thru 100+ pages, lol. Any of you OG GFC owners ever installed/thought about installing a small rv slide window, or the smallest Arctic Tern window (roughly 12"x20" @10lbs) on your side panels?....Think it could be done as long as you install stronger gas struts too?

People have installed slide windows in GFCs V1/2 side panels. Especially for those with dogs to get better air flow.

Need help with my color choice. GFC will be calling me Wednesday to go over options and I'm trying to decide between black or destroyer blue for my 22 Trail edition in Lunar Rock.

    What would look best?
    TIA

Just paid the invoice for my GFC with an install in October. Are they pretty strict with the whole no cab rack and bed molle panels being on the truck?

They're cool with a cab rack if it's the martin offroad camper rack that is made for the GFC.

I'd just remove the bed molle panels before hand than re-install later.

The Sherpa one made for the GFC is fine. I’d assume also the Martin. Just note if anything is on it they have you remove those items before hand.
Also the molle panels. Yes anything that can interfere with install remove.
There’s a big lot there and easy enough to pull stuff and put in a spot. I was able to no issues

I ended up going down the rabbithole on this recently in the GFC Forums "Mods, Tips, & Tricks" section, and here on TW, and it's been brought up very seldomly. 1 reply to a post I saw asking about it seemed to be from a GFC employee, and they said a window would be to heavy, putting to much stress on the hinges. Makes sense. Also from what I've found, ALL rv windows require 1-1.5" of framing too which could make it tricky w/ the GFC framing.

I kept diggin' down the rabbithole, and eventually saw that a guy installed these on a V1..w/ pics..and it looked dope AF. Super sleek, functional, and lightweight. Perfect for dog use. I'm gonna see if I can get enough ventilation using some of these, and some fans for myself whenever I'm stuck stealth boondockin' somewhere w/ the top closed. Maybe 2 per side panel...and a shit ton of fans haha.

    https://dogboxparts.com/product/aluminum-popup-vent-lo-profile-black-powder-coated-wgasket/

They come in black or silver. I'm gonna be going black on black on my new V2. I just found/bought a used one in my area. So pumped!
