    Yup! Never seen an Arrow in person before, only Dodge and Mitsubishi versions; I thought this one was an old Hilux from a distance!

    When it came to compact trucks, the Big 3 had none. All of the ones they sold were rebadged imports.

    Ford Courier = Mazda
    Chevy LUV = Isuzu
    Chrysler = Mitsubishi

    Bill, do you remember saying something along the lines of "Mitsubishi was everybody else's bitch" when it came to putting Mitsubishi engines in non-Mitsubishi vehicles? My aunt and uncle had a 1986 Plymouth Voyager LE that had a Mitsubishi 2.6L 4-banger, and my other and uncle had a 1994 Dodge Grand Caravan SE with a 3.3L Chrysler V6, but a Mitsubishi transmission. They bought the '94 Grand Caravan new, and the transmission was replaced under recall maybe a year after they bought it. Didn't some Mazda pickups have the same Mitsubishi 2.6L as my aunt and uncle's Plymouth?

    I don't remember "everybody's bitch". We would often say "itchy pussy" instead of Mitsubishi.

    Chrysler joined forces with Mitsu back in the late 70s and that allowed them to rebadge several vehicles as Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge. That also led to Chrysler using the Mitsu 2.6 and 3.0 engines. It also worked in reverse. Later in the joint venture, Chrysler provided Mitsu with some engines and entire platforms. The 2nd gen Talon was built in Norma Illinois right along side the Sebring.....both using the Dodge Neon engine.

    The Dodge Raider was a rebadged Mitsu 2 door Montero. But later down the road, the Mitsubishi Raider was a rebadged Dodge Dakota.

    Chrysler also tapped VW early on with Dodge Omni. The early ones had Rabbit engines.

    You would be shocked at the amount of collaboration there was back in the day. There was some really weird shit out there that the average person had no clue about.

    And early on Mitsubishi provided Hyundai with some engines.

    And yes, the early Mazda B2600 had a Mitsubishi engine. Once the B2600i came out though....that was all Mazda
