    Hey everyone.

I know there is a lot of posts that are easily remedied about brake warning lights but I have something a bit strange that I think I may now the culprit, but would like to see if anyone has experienced this before I dive into it tomorrow:

I recently did some serious frame restoration on the back section and upon reassembly I noticed that the brakes lights look very weak, consistently on both sides.

I also noticed the brake warning light was staying on, which I attributed to the rear linkage possibly getting bent/stretched while the bed as off.

    Simple enough.

BUT, I then noticed that, when pressing the brake the instrument cluster lights illuminate.

I'm thinking this HAS to be the brake light switch and I will likely just change it as a matter of course.
I'm curious if anyone else has encountered this.

    Thanks!

If your dash lights up when you apply the brake, you have two wires touching in the rear of the vehicle.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Either in the converter box the tail light brake sockets or you damaged the harness while fixing the frame.

I'd bet you missed or broke a ground wire or as stated something the trailer converter box.
