It’s probably nothing. For some unknown reason to me, the crank sensor can make the trans temp light come on. Since you had just started the truck, I would not worry about it. But I’d call the dealership and tell them every time it happens. Just to have a record and help with warranty should you ever need it.

I got a great response to that but I'd be banned for life if I posted it...

Confusicious say it is better to have too much fluid than too little.

I learned something new: I had no idea there was a "High Transmissions Fluid" warning light.

I would check your window sticker/bill of sale. Make sure you weren’t charged for the extra fluid. :D

Don't feel bad. I just bought a 2022 OR and it started leaking coolant with only 100 miles on it. They had to take the whole top of the engine off and replace a part that wasn't assembled correctly from the factory. Stressful at the time, but it was covered under warranty. Horrible quality control in Mexico.

Just my opinion it's not only Toyota, purchased a few quality products lately and found that the quality just wasn't the same, crazy times I guess, hope things get back to normal soon.

That depends on how much fluid is too much? You can easily damage these automatics by adding about a qt. too much fluid just as easy as too little. Either way you don't want too much or too little.

Thats your opinion. I think its the best truck i've owned to date, haven't had any issues. I wouldn't jump on the tundra yet. Toyota is still sorting the bugs in them.

The point is that Tacomas are selling more than Tundras. I love my 3rd and have not any issues with it yet.
I read that the last 2021-2022 where the best years for the Tacos as all the fuck up from past years 2015-2019 where fixed. So I am happy that I bought mine.
