It's not looking good folks. There is still some time to hammer out a deal but it doesn't look promising. If they don't get something done soon, the Pack may be champs for a while. But if there is a scab season, I may try out for the Cards lol.

It is one big freaking joke if they can't get this figured out. There is so much cash at stake I would think something gets armed out last minute. Heck even draft weekend is a cash cow for the NFL, I would think something gets done.

Maybe they will hammer something out before it's too late.

This blows. The Niners need OTAs for their new coach! And we need to trade for a QB already

Non-binding, but maybe the mediator will grab both parties by the necks and pull their heads out of their asses.

    A $1,000,000,000 apart on negotiations?

    C'mon...

It really all depends on the CBA.

If they come to a consensus soon, then the niners can afford to draft a high pick QB and groom him in the off season to start next year. If this thing stretches out, I see them picking up a veteran FA that's familiar with the West Coast Offense and plugging him in there the first day, and then probably still picking up a late round QB to learn behind the FA.

In all honesty, they need to come together already. NFL is a billion dollar industry and this past year had the most ratings it's had EVER. If the NFL is smart, they get this thing resolved ASAP.

    Agreed.

I am a season ticket holder and this 18 game schedule thing will be interesting.

I really couldn't care if they play 18, I just don't want to pay full price for TWO practice games. Play 16, and charge the fans 1/2 price for the preseason.

I was at Candlestick for the Browns and Niners in 2003(?). Great fans and a great city. Good luck in 2011...
