Flattery or invasion or privacy?

I was eating lunch with the family and just happened to be seated at a windows right where my truck was parked. There were 2 guys leaving, and as they were walking thru the parking lot they stopped by my truck. No big deal, but then they started taking a few pics. Not a lot, not the tag, more like they were trying to capture my side and front to show the way I have it set up.

So now I am wondering if they were impressed and just wanted the pics, did I cut them off and were pissed and took the pics for pay back later, or were they looking to copy my build? I was going to set off the alarm to scare them off but they did not look like jerks

Flattery - perhaps they were digging your wheels and tire setup... or the steps... or the color.

People stop me all the time and ask questions. Dealership, gas station, grocery store. No biggie

 

Think you might be looking to deep into this. I take pictures of cool/weird cars and trucks on occasion but this wasn't me.

From your viewing angle, we’re they trying to get your license plate number or the whole truck? Generally if someone is ticked off, they fly off the handle immediately. They generally don’t take a picture to deal with it later.

Also, check the TW threads on your color. It is possible they were taking pictures to post on TW. However, with posts #9 and 10 you bet them to it,

 

It was weird, I never see anyone look at my truck like I read on here. I never get offers to sell like I read on here. I thought everyone here made up crap. Now I know it is just most of us.

Guy complains about people taking pics of his nice looking truck, then posts his own truck porn shots of it on the web later …JK!

The 1A allows photographers to take photos in public places, they just can’t invade your privacy behind curtains, in houses, etc. one thing they really won’t be able to do is sell their photos of you or your truck without a property or model release.

My main concern would be that they were shopping, so be careful where you leave it! BTW- it does look nice.

The guys who took pictures of your truck were waiting to photograph Kim Kardashian, or Bigfoot. Since they never made an appearance. Your truck was the best thing to shoot.

 

You will really laugh at the tag then. My tag has the word TONKA in it too.
