Flattery or invasion or privacy?

Your truck looks “fun” style, not my personal taste but I like to see the different direction ya went with it. Since you asked about the interior, it’s too much. Too bright, wrong shade of red (not that I would want any of the color in there) but if ya must have color; I’d go with a more crimson red to match your rear decals and rims. Just an opinion since ya asked.

No offense, I agree. That is why I asked. The only thing I like is the a/c rings. They are metal and match the rims. The rest are cheap plastic and wrong color.

My buddies only take pics of vehicles they make fun of. Who knows what their intentions were.

 

They were shooting the stickers, grill and wheels.

Nice looking truck, I wouldnt worry about it. Sometimes you see something you like and plan on duplicating but your memory leads you the wrong direction. A photo can bring you back to plumb. I spent a year taking photos of every detail of cars and motorcycle pinstriping that caught my eye. Then when my bike was like I wanted, had it striped mixing two different designs into one. Came out looking 50's Von Dutch.

No real opinion on the interior, I go for a little more subdued but could live with it, but if you like it its fine with me.

I think they were just admiring it. It’s a modded truck, basically a dude magnet. Just wait till you get a new bumper. More dudes to come. It’s funny how my very stock 06 Subaru Legacy drew way more complements from girls than my taco. Everywhere I go some dude has something to say. So far no girls have ever commented, lol (well actually my wife’s eye rolls over the years could count).

I was literally complimented on my truck today by a lifted LX470 driver in the parking spot next to me at Costco. 3/4 of the time at Lowes somebody says something. Maybe 1/10 at Walmart (a cop stopped and asked me about my RTT once). I work on base and half the time I'm rolling through the gate for ID check, the guard will compliment my truck. There's a couple kids at Chickfila who say "sick truck bruh".
A guy I sold my stock tires to (via FB) asked if he could take a pic of my truck to show his buddy. I was certain my truck would be stolen right out of my driveway within a week... Nope. Genuinely just liked my truck.

I *never* received a single compliment when I had my 2nd Gen. I do not seek attention, ever. And I hate gabbing with strangers IRL. But it is nice to be validated. I smile, thank them, and go on my way.

 

You do you. Red is usually an ACCENT color, not a two tone color.

 

It’s like he is re-enacting a murder scene. No one needs that much red!
