    Hi All,
A couple of weeks ago I bought a '19 SR access cab and a friend who owns a Tacoma is always on here so I joined. I've found there's a lot of good information to be found here. So here's my problem.
I'd like to put some speakers in my rear doors and there are blank off plates where they go, but for the life of me I can't confirm the part number for the grilles. I like things to look original, so I want some OEM grilles but when I look on all the Toyota parts websites they list 8622604010c0 for the left and
8622504010c0 for the right, but only for the '16 models. When I change the year in the search, it's says the p.n.'s either wont fit or they can't confirm that they'll fit. When I search for the '19 model, it doesn't list any.
    Am i missing something?

Find someone with a '16 access cab that has the panel you are searching for. Convince them to test fit the panel in yours.:burp:
Dealer parts info isn't always correct...

@Jeff Lange This man seems to be a very good source for part numbers. He may be able to help out here, don't know?

Thanks, I'll check with him, although I may go with the videos TommyBoy posted
This is excellent. I'd prefer to get the actual grilles but it's definitely an option, and the videos put me way ahead of the game.
    Thanks

No problem. I was looking into changing rear speakers in my access cab a few weeks ago and remember running across these videos.

Also be very careful when taking the door panel off. Make sure the seltbelt slider works smoothly when putting the panel back on.

Well, if anybody is curious about this I have discovered that the access cab door speaker grilles were removable on the 2016 models but after that the grilles were a permanent part of the door panel. If the later models didn't have speakers, they punched holes in the grilles an installed a blank-off plate over them. You can see this in TommyBoy's second posted video above.

So I believe that's actually backwards, but I haven't been able to verify it yet.

That is to say, the 2016-2022 all had the same rear door panels, with the grilles, and the cover that goes over the grille when there is no speaker is what the part numbers you originally posted were for. These parts are no longer listed in the parts catalog, even for 2016 models, because they're not really replaceable (plastic welded in place). So they were removed completely from the parts catalog for all years.

But, I haven't actually looked at a panel from a 2016 to be sure.

    Jeff

You know what, I could see that. I certainly haven't been able to find a picture of either one of those p.n.'s.

No, and it's not looking good. Although all of the Toyota parts websites list those part numbers as speaker grilles and the drawings show them with a grille-like surface(for what that's worth), Jeff Lange's explanation seems the most plausible. I really like the stock look and buying new door panels is not an option, so that project is on hold.

Looks like it is very involved, atleast on the research end of things.

Maybe search junkyards for a wrecked access cab and snag the Door panels? Maybe get lucky?
